| what time was this? |
MPD tweeted about it at 8:38 am. |
| And she’s running for re-election. So pathetic. |
| I got a citizen alert at about 9:42. |
8:42. Sorry. |
|
Sometimes the alerts are delayed by an hour or more so it could have happened a good bit earlier. That area is surprisingly light on foot and car traffic these days until right around school start time, esp with the metro issues and many still working from home.
Hope the victim will be ok and that the perps are caught. |
How often are they ever caught? |
|
WTH is going on in this city??"
Well, let's start with the police not bothering to patrol an area full of homeless people who are often mentally issue or high. And by patrolling, I mean actually looking out their car windows to pay attention to what's going on. I wouldn't suggest that they actually get out of their cars, because we all know they can't bother with that. Of course, they don't actually know how to handle the homeless, so that's problem number two. |
|
Per the daily MPD emails, lots of people are arrested, held or convicted are different matters.
Are any more details available re: what happened this morning? So close to Janney, Deal and Wilson and GDS kids often use that metro stop too. |
| This has escalated quickly from throwing eggs at drivers |
That was Wilson kids, no? |
|
Here’s what we have from MPD via our ANC rep:
"There was a verbal altercation between a male, that appears to be homeless, and two other individuals. The two individuals than began physically assaulting the victim. He suffered a stab wound and multiple facial fractures. The two suspects are described as Black Males in their late teens or early 20’s. One suspect had a gray hoodie on with a white Nike swoosh and blue jeans. The other had a Black hoodie on with a white Nike swoosh and black jeans." |
What makes you think these aren't? |
Nothing. Could be, could not be. I was wondering if that's what the PP was implying. |
