| lawyer. it's a useless major but was fun to read. |

There is no such thing as a useless major. |
Interesting that you mentioned this. My daughter is interested in psychology and HR. I just recently found out about this track so we are doing some research on it. I don’t want her to just get a general psychology degree unless she also has a minor/major in something like marketing. |
| I’m a psychologist. |
Got a Psych degree and worked in Fintech right out of college. Psychology was useful especially when I become a manager. |

BS in Psych then MSW. Social worker for 25+ years.
|
| Got a PhD and am a researcher at a university |
Lots of MSWs started out with psych undergrads. I feel like I know many more who started out psych than with SW undergrad major (which was what I did). |
| I got a PhD and worked in school and community mental health programs doing psychotherapy, prevention work and consultation. |
Couldn’t be too useless as you’re a lawyer now. In fact to get into law school, you could major in anything so if that’s you’re interest why not? |

+1....but it has been useful in dealing with my teens! |
You just proved the point that you can’t work in the psych field with only a bachelors. |
