In a way, yes. But it’s also awareness. Awareness and exposure leads to inclusion and comfort understanding differences and how to help others navigate life alongside us. |
Totally agree. Even Connor's mom Lise said something like this when he was worried he'd start getting followed like Princess Diana. It's to give people hope. |
Next season dropped today! |
I like it because I like dating shows, but they all feel so fake and manufactured nowadays. People on the spectrum are less likely to be fake and manufactured. Many also have amazing senses of humor. To me, it’s just another dating show with a slightly different palette of participants. It’s easy to take to social media if a show feels personally exploitative to the participants, and so far I haven’t seen anything like that. I hope it stays “pure” in this way because I really enjoy this show. |
The characters are like little kids because of their autism. We cheer for them because they make it so easy. A few have been in long-term relationships, Adan/Dani, David/Abbey, Katie/Ronan. |
I like the show but I feel some of the guys get a pass for creepy aggro behaviors. Like the way Connor treats his mom is so disrespectful. She seems to be in fear of him half the time.
I like this season we saw representation from a family that isn’t super rich, Pari and her mom. I don’t think Madison’s cowboy is a great match for her long term. She seems like she could benefit from a guy who engages more intellectually and doesn’t just say “yeah” to everything. |
