Love on the Spectrum

I loved seasons 1 & 2, and now my husband and I will watch the American version.

I want to watch some of the Australian version with my HFA son.

How can you say that? You must have missed Subodh and his delightful family. I loved it when he said “we’re not going to intervene on that.”

Rachel was on season 1, right?

This is the greatest “feel good” shows out there

Season 2 is out today! Abby and David are still together!

The kissing between them is so annoying

I love Tanner. What a sweet guy!

I love a lot of the families on these- Abby’s mom, Connor’s mom and sister.
I don’t know what to make of the pre-K teacher who messaged James and met up with him. She seemed harmless but that whole situation was weird. I know he’s 35 but it must be extra hard to make your way thru random DMs and people and have to figure this all out as a neurodiverse person.

Abbeys mom is pathetic. She says now that’s she’s with David she doesn’t have to worry about abbey after she dies. You mean David’s parents will take care of Abbey? They’re obviously financially stable.

That's an interesting take about Abbey's mom. If you watch David's sisters, you can see they are happy he's with Abbey. Most parents of special needs kids worry about their future, especially after the parent is gone. She's not foisting Abbey upon these people, they genuinely love her, as does David. I noticed that Tiffany box, too. So what?

As to the pre k teacher, I think she's an attention seeker/ fetisher.

It's a quirk, I think.

We loved this, but it’s been a while since we watched. It definitely gave us some hope.

Yes they do love her but it’s really unfair of her mom to say she’ll be ok bc she has a rich boyfriend. Boyfriends aren’t forever. Abbey seems like she could live in a group home and get a paying job, like Tanner does.

I didn’t take this as meaning financially at all. More as feeling like who is going to care about love / accept them fully / root for them / support them / help them navigate life. She’s happy she’s not everything for Abbey anymore

Why would Abbey need to live in a group home? She could easily live alone.

The world needs more people like Tanner. I just love him!

Bc I assume even if she did get a paid job it would be minimum wage and it’s very hard to get an apartment on that. That’s why I said group home, or roommate situation.

She said when she’s dead, I assume she meant financially. But even for support, David’s just a boyfriend. She’s not his or his family’s responsibility
