Fights at ACHS/TC

I grew up in the NYC suburbs and there were absolutely no fist fights at any of my schools. Outside of hockey games, the only time I've seen a fist fight was once in a bar. If this is normal around here, we definitely won't be using the public middle and high schools.

Oh, come on, really? I also grew up in the NYC suburbs and there were fights in my high school. And I lived in a nice suburb.

I grew up in an idyllic small town with a small combined middle/high school, and fights were a regular occurrence there, too. Boys and girls.

Graduated Wakefield in '98. I recall two fights in my 4 years there.

Daily brawls are not the norm.

Yes, really. I've never witnessed a fight at a school.

Did anyone say anything about daily brawls?

My 11th grader hasn't seen a single one.

Some of those moms are completely unhinged! One of them thinks Tenants and Workers United is running a shadow Communist government in Alexandria City. Seriously nuts!

Yes. That's what the thread is about.

I think this is an exaggeration!

Well, we didn’t have security guards (armed or not) in my high school. And we weren’t woke. There just wasn’t a need.

Shouldn't this be renamed "Shootings at TC"?

1. TC is no longer the name of any high school

2. There has not been a shooting at ACHS or any other ACPS school

3. At this point it is unverified whether the shooter or victim were ACHS students

4. The shooting is of course a serious concern and people need to feel safe going to Bradlee shopping center

Incorrect.

1. I graduated from TC Williams. I did not graduate from ACHS. I will never refer to my Alma Mater as anything other than TC.
2. Fight started at TC and spilled to Bradlee
3. I will donate $1000 to the DNC if the shooter and victim turn out to NOT be ACHS students if you agree to donate $1000 to the NRA if they turn out to be ACHS students. Agree?
4. Agreed.

Unbelievable.
