So let's say you're getting married, but you're just too butch for a dress.

Or it's your second marriage and you don't want to dress up like a meringue. Or you feel too old, or all of the above and you would just rather wear a really classy looking pair of flowing white pants.

Where on earth (OK, DC Metro area) do you even begin looking for such an item? I've looked at church suits, alternative wedding sites, suit separates, and have had no luck. I'm thinking I would probably be happy to have someone make them for me. Any recommendations?

G street fabrics! pick out one of the zillion types of formal, flowing white fabrics they have in the "formal" section and commission them to sew you a pair

I'm channeling my mother...."WEAR A DAMN DRESS THIS ISN'T JUST ABOUT YOU" ha. I'd suggest picking out a less froo froo dress but unless you are like 60 AND a lesbian the flowing pants idea seems a bit ummm ugly? Sorry don't flame me. If you're older chances are your last dress had puffy sleeves and ugly lace details. The wedding dresses have gotten better. Go to a bridal shop and try on a couple.Do it for my mama.

No. (Pththth! to your mom )
It's my wedding. I'm wearing pants this time.

Are you sure about the pants? I'd recommend going with a different colored, non-traditional wedding style dress before going with pants. No?

Otherwise I'd honestly just find a pale colored suit in a department store. Maybe it would be easier to find one around Easter.

LOVE it. The website didn't have a suggestion on where to purchase it?
Have you called some wedding dress shops? Perhaps they can lead you to the right place.
Sorry don't have any ideas, but I think the pants will look awesome.

How about Anthopologie?

With that photo, you should be able to commission someone to make them. I second the G Street fabrics. Also, once you find the material, you could also look for a tailor. Many years ago, before kids, work and all of those things that make you tired, as a hobby/second income, I would make things for people from photos like you have.

I agree with PP. Have someone make it for you. Awesome, btw.

What on earth is wrong with pants? I would absolutely not wear a dress if I didn't want to simply to make other odd women happy. Good grief, if someone objects to what you wear on your wedding then their opinion isn't worth much to start.

It is easier to find white in the spring than the fall. I would try searching on-line ranging from department stores to boutiques to get an idea of which designers have done what recently.

You can DEFINITELY rock pants. Nothing makes you look better than feeling comfortable and confident and like you. You'd look a lot worse in a dress in which you didn't feel comfortable. I hope you find something!

OP, I love that picture!

Did you call G street? They definitely have a work room that will make what you specify.
