Baby boomers ruined America

Someone on another thread was talking about baby boomers so I found this site asking the important questions such as...

Come on now... the baby boomers couldnt have been given EVERYTHING, I mean that is way too much right?

It really defies comprehension how much the baby boomers actually consumed.

First off, they inherited a world where US had around 50% of the global GDP. We are half that today. Not only did they steal from past achievements, but once that ran out they stole from future achievements, in the form of uncontrollable debt. They consumed at least three generations worth of wealth in one generation. A result of this is that they became complacent and self righteous.

How could a group of people, that have accumulated more collective wealth than any other single group of people, in the recorded history of human civilization mess things up so bad?

That's a tough one to answer but somehow they have managed to bring our entire country to the brink of collapse at a record breaking speed. Their ignorance about almost anything that doesn't involve themselves is only outdone by their self righteous attitudes about their many failures.

Well I'm glad no one in my family is a baby boomer. My parents were both born before the boom and started a family later than most their age.

You realize that your parents' generation was the one that created the baby boom. If anyone actually created a problem, it was that generation.

The baby boomers never retire, thereby keeping the labor force stuck in more ways than one - by not letting younger generations fill their spots and encouraging new employment, and by keeping old ideas and attitudes clogging up the present & future.

Have you ever studied logic, or science. Like the basic principles of cause/effect? I'm not seeing the cause/effect connection here. At all.

And actually, it's Gen Y'ers who are the "gimme now" entitled generation. Like I'm going to load up on degrees and job hop for quick fixes and never put in dues in the form of hard work or reading and just google everything for knowledge. Yuck.

WTH does this mean??? Are you saying it is the duty of the baby boomers to retire, so that they can make room for you since you are obviously stuck in your career?

And then of course we all benefit because they start drawing retirement at an earlier age???

It's just human nature to take your foot off the gas , relax, spend, indulge, do away with inconvenient morality, turn from God, embrace sexual immorality , abort inconvenient babies, ... When you can spend the hard earned treasure and reputation of those before you. It's entertaining and hilarious to watch them talk about their feelings and their belief that their opinions are of value. Lol.

Okay, now you are in straight out looney land. Also, it is worth pointing out that on many of these issues you bring up the boomers are more conservative than your generation. That's just a statistical fact.
