WHAT??? Black kids in charter schools????
I'm giving up my spots now. |
| You mean are the teachers all recovering alcoholics? No, I don't think so. The administrators, possibly. |
Yes, all of them. 98%-100% AA. Be very afraid. If you have a slot, run as fast as you can to the phone and turn it down. All of them. Private is much safer, for your kids and for the AA kids who probably are much better off without your kid in their classroom. Don't forget to post when you turn all your slots down, so all the other posters on DCUM (also 98-100% AA) can know which school there may be one more spot for an AA kid in. |
Not only that, but even if your child enters a charter a different race, they emerge by school count day in Oct as AA. It's such an unknown fact. You are smart to give up all your slots. Which schools by the way? |
| the better question is, are there any charters that are majority white? |
Generally, schools that offer city-wide admissions will have demographics that reflect the city as a whole. |
|
I'm actually starting a new charter school for next year called
Kreative Kids Kurriculum. OP: you sound just like our type of people. Look for us in the lottery next year! |
Yes OP, please withdraw from this year if you're in, or just wait until next year. Only apply to this school. Unless an all-white charter also opens, in which case apply there as well. |
|
Charters have 100% AA. DCPS is 100% Hispanic, and since they stopped the vouchers private schools are 100% White.
Make sure you get off of the WL for any of the immersions schools so your child doesn't turn into "one of them" |
OP here: you guys are funny! Meant no offense just curious. But point is taken
|
You will see the for the most part, the sought after ones have a higher white percentage (30-40%) with even higher in early grades. |
| Which ones are that? |
Look at the pictures on the website. If you see two white kids - they are advertising to the "white" folk. Don't worry, you can't catch black. |
