Ugh, unintended orgasm day 3 after transfer! Am I doomed?

Anonymous
I'm beside myself right now. Only three days past transfer and I woke up this morning in the middle of an orgasm. I'm guessing all of the hormones are to blame.

My RE was pretty clear that I shouldn't have any orgasms for at least a week following transfer. Now feeling really down and desperate. This is our last round of IVF.

Anyone been in a similar situation and still gotten pregnant? I need to hear positive stories. Please share if you have one. Thank you!

No worries, happened to me a couple of times during 2ww and that cycle worked.

There were quite a few ladies in my support group that had this and if I recall correctly, it was a good sign and most of the ones that had this issue ended up with BFP's!

Thank you PPs. So frustrating because I've been walking on egg shells, avoiding anything remotely strenuous and then this happened and I had no control over it. Your posts are encouraging.

Having an orgasm in your sleep is quite common. It is the result of all the drugs you are on.

VERY common after IVF and usually a good sign. Let us know. And stop stressing over things.

+1. I only had this on my successful cycle.

This may be dumb but may I ask why you are advised against having orgasms? I'm honestly just curious.

Can cause uterine contractions and in theory affect implantation

Are there actual data for this? Sounds like an "old wives tale" kind of thing.

My RE from Shady Grove have me this guidance. Maybe an old wives' tale but REs seem to buy into it.

That hapoened to me when I was pregnant. Hopefully you are too. Don't worry about it, there's nothing you can do.

Shit, I wish this had happened to me with IVF! (or anytime, frankly!)

LOL...

I underwent THREE IVFs

I had TWO successful IVFs (meaning I got a BFP)...the first BFP ended in a chromosomal abnormality and a loss.

The TWO BFPs, I had spontaneous orgasms all the way through the 2ww.

It was only my on-line friends following my journey, when I was panicking that I had HAD those night visitors on my third IVF, that reminded me that the night visitors were a good sign for me...

I have 4 year old twins destroying my house, right now.
