but ZERO SPOTS for non-siblings in PS3 and the same for PK4

Why do they even bother in doing a lottery? Ridiculous!

we are 17 on the waitlist for PK4, only two kids (both with sibling preference accepted). we did not do bad, but I know we have no chance to get in. if there was another class, we would be in though.........

I realize you're reacting in anger, but really this is a legal requirement of their charter.

There were two non-siblings admitted to the pre-k class. Not sure what you're looking at.

We're in the top 10, which anywhere else I'd assume would have a good shot at an actual spot. But I'm guessing we're probably out of luck, right?

We would be in PK4 if they added a class as well. Does anyone know if this is a possibility for 2013-14? I know they are expanding next year...

this is what I am looking at http://mundoverdepcs.org/storage/admissions-lottery-results/2013%20PreK-4%20Lottery%20Results.pdf

2 spots to SIBLING and 1 waitlist for SIBLING. What are YOU looking at?
Anonymous
How was the waitlist determined? By true lottery or by time stamp of the application? If the latter, were families made aware of this?

There is zero chance they're adding a preK4 class for 2013. They do not have the space. Zero chance. If for some reason they open up class size b/c of some future acquisition of space, they'll open a 2nd preschool 3 class, not a third preK4 class.

I was wrong; I apologize. But hey--settle down. No need to all-caps yell at us.

Even if we don't have a shot in hell the MV waitlist is super interesting just to see which names are popular in DC. Samuel, Theodore, Lelia, and of course, Alexander.
