$5.7 MM in Chevy Chase Village

Please discuss. Big lot, in the Village, on the West side, but on a busy street and very personal design decisions. Is it worth it? http://tour.homevisit.com/view/64279. I'm just a neighbor.

Sorry...I think this is waaay overpriced. There are a lot of other homes in CC that I would prefer for $6M.

Pictures stopped loaded halfway through, so I stopped looking. Loved it. The entryway alone sold me.

But what was with the blue dress mounted on the dining room wall?

...wipes away drool...

That is a busy street - as one of the hoi polloi of regular, non-Chevy Chase Village Chevy Chase I cut through there frequently - but the house is set way back.

Mmmmmmm...

Plus, the sellers are a 32-year-old married couple!

Beautiful!! Yes, worth the price. Gorgeous.

I couldn't focus on the actual house because my retinas were burning.

A dress on the wall? Oh my.

The photographer needs to be shot -- he/she enhanced the colors on almost every picture. At this price, there should be no need to enhance anything. It makes it look like photos of a condo.

Kitchen is butt ugly.

They are asking almost twice what they paid in 2004. Neighbor, do you know what it was like inside then? The virtual tour is too old.

He's just the trustee for an unnamed DC-famous person.

They are too something - colorful, perhaps? I appreciate color, but they need more - boundaries, it seems. The dress on the wall is far too distracting and reminds me of paying homage to someone dead - not cool at any price.

It's beautiful. I'd definitely want to make some changes in terms of color, wouldn't want a purple bedroom for example, but they'd be easy surface changes, and I'm figuring if I have $5.7 million* to spend I can afford a few cans of paint.

The one thing I'd want that would be a big deal would more open green space. With that much land I'd want space for the kids to just run. The gardens are beautiful, but not exactly what I'd want.

*Note that's a hypothetical have. My housing budget has a different number of digits.

What about that giant lamp in the office?

Wow, that was pretty nice
