Latin just got a kid into Cornell - second kid going to an ivy this year! Not that ivies are the be-all-and-end-all, of course, but many people see it as one marker of a good education.

Martha Cutts has done a terrific job as Latin's head. She's developed and grown Latin nicely after creating order out of the chaos that "the Music Man", former headmaster TR Ahlstrom, left in his wake.

I have two recent grads on my staff from Cornell who are fantastic.

The Cornell debate aside, Latin has posted the most recent college acceptances on their website (and Cornell is not listed, but Brown is).

The Cornell news is just a few days old. I'm going to guess it's a likely letter - DC actually showed me the kid's FB page, so this is real, but I don't know much more about it..

Think they meant low income kid, which some people on this forum use interchangeably.
