| We are jonesing for Vietnamese tonight - specifically unfried spring rolls (Imperial rolls, Summer Rolls or whatever they are called) and Pho. We just can't seem to find any decent Vietnamese in MD except for places the ONLY sell Pho and nothing else. Any recommendations at the Eden Center or elsewhere? Are we crazy to go there on a Saturday night? We live in Chevy Chase. |

Aspen Hill has a nice one.

| Right near, but not in, the Eden Center, is a little restaurant called Present. It's in a little strip mall on Route 50 near the intersection with O think Annandale Rd? It's slightly more upscale than your neighborhood pho joint, but still casual and family friendly. The staff are so lovely and the food is beautifully presented and most importantly DELICIOUS. It's a step up from other places I've been in the Eden Center. |
Oh and if you call today they will probably have a reservation for tonight. OMG now I am craving it too, maybe I will see you there! |

I love Four Sisters. They moved from the Eden Center to the Mosaic District right off of 29, not too far from the Beltway exit.

| I wouldn't go to Four Sisters or Present for pho. You need to go to a pho house for excellent pho. Four Sisters and Present are good restaurants, but not for pho. |
| Pho 14 just opened a place on Connecticut Ave near the Van Ness metro. It is delicious and an easier ride for you than Fairfax County. |
| Is there any place that makes Pho without MSG in this area? |
I don't think there is any in the Aspen Hill one or its very little. I've never had an issue with them and I'm very sensitive to it. |
| Pho 75 has the best pho, but I don't think they sell spring rolls. The Pho 75 on 50 at Graham (?) has a sandwich shop next door (DC Sandwich?) that sells spring rolls though. Maybe you can bring those into the restaurant or buy them afterwards for the ride home. |
| The best pho ever, with freshly made noodles, is at Pho Cong Ly, in Annandale. |

a lot of the "pho" restaurants sell summer rolls as well.
i know you said you can't find any in MD, but i suspect you are only looking in the b-cc area based on your location. try Pho Real or Pho An in the suburban part of silver spring. they tend to be cleaner and friendlier than other local spots. you can also try Pho 75 in rockville. look em up... they all have strong reviews. |

| Pho & Rolls in Rockville Townsquare has both. |
