Marshall/Pupil-placing for IB School Overview

Anonymous
We didn't go to the Marshall open house and did not consider pupil-placing my rising 9th-grader there earlier this year, when all the info was being disseminated. However, now we are starting to re-think that. Is there any one source where I can get the info I would have gotten at the open house about the program? We want to know what it's like, what kind of kids it's good for, etc. I don't see this info on the FCPS web site.

Thank you!

I'd call the school. They can probably arrange a tour and to answer your questions.

I don't understand the vitriol for Marshall on this forum. Is it other high school students that make these sorts of comments? I hope to God the parents from other schools aren't so immature.

And what a fine representative of the Mclean (or is it Langley?) community you are! Can't you find a classier way to deal with the fact that some people will be choosing to send their children to *gasp* Marshall?

Madison is AP. Parents aren't interested in having IB at the school.

But they are interested in gallon smashing. Got it.

Here's a presentation available on the school's web site:

7:43 here. By the way, you need to apply for pupil placement for the following year by mid-April.

Why would anyone assume those idiots were from Marshall? Every article says Vienna and Madison is 100% Vienna.
