Since it looks like he's really going to win, I am trying hard to warm up and join the party late. How are other former Clinton supporters out there doing? |
Not me. Not yet at least. |
As an Obama supporter who never contributed a cent to him against Clinton because I was saving my money for whichever one eventually became the candidate, I was prepared to join your party. Just because it's at our place rather than yours doesn't mean we can't have a good time together!
Psst, I know some of our folks said nasty things, but we're not all bad. |
It would help if Obama would issue a statement saying neither Clinton is racist. His silence on that made me so sad. |
As a former Clinton supporter, I had to go through my "stages of grief." Ha. I was angry, also, about the characterization of the Clintons, of all people, as racists. And the sexism .
I don't think Obama is out of the woods yet. We're already celebrating but working class whites haven't warmed up to Obama .I also think in the 11th hour those whites will think they aren't ready to have an African-American president named Barack Obama as president. You saw some of this in NH where the exit polls didn't match up with the vote. The thought was that some whites weren't honest about who they were voting for. I'll bet we'll see this amplified in the general in places like Ohio. Now when I see someone on the road with a McCain sticker, I think "jerk." But when I drive by someone who's got a McCain/Palin sticker, I think they're also mentally incompetent. |
Nope. I voted HRC in the primary but will probably go McCain in the general. Mostly because I think he will be a single term president and we might get a better choice next time around. |
As a dem, I don't see how you can possibly believe that McCain Palin is a better choice right now, especially given the financial crisis. Are you really willing to sacrifice the next four years in order to give Hillary another chance?? |
I wouldn't be willing to make that sacrafice if the nominee were a reasonable candidate and the Rep. nominee was a maniac like Bush, but I actually am because I think Obama's a tool. I don't trust him, I think he's a liar. And McCain is no maniac, I laugh when people call him McBush, its so far from the truth. |
Just curious, why do you think that Obama is a liar, as compared to any other politician. What specifically do you think that he is lying about. |
PP probably thinks Obama is an Arab and doesn't trust him ![]() |
Yes, tell us, what is he lying about? |
Well, he lied about the number of years he and Michelle have been married (he was off by one). When Michelle squealed on him, Olberman named Barack the "Worst Person in the World" that night. |
I'm an Obama supporter, but I was disappointed in the continuing use of "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" and "100 years". The first was a silly little riff on coincidental sound-alikes and the second was an attempt to point out that what McCain thought is important is not how long we're there, but the conditions. Obama's use of them may not literally be lying, but both were distortions. The fact that McCain's campaign has done far worse does not change the fact that these were cheap shots. |
I'd like Obama to win but don't jinx it with over confidence. I don't have a 100% trust in the polls. |
So funny!! I too call it "stages of grief"...lol If wasn't for Palin, voting for McCain would be a no brainer...but I am so afraid he will die and she "lead" us...lol |
