Technically. But I would not be friends with any person who "because of their job" does something so abhorrent. Regardless of political affiliation. This is one of many reasons why Hillary didn't have a whole lot of enthusiastic voters on her side. |
I listened to that as well, and another good point she made is that Todd Blanche doesn’t know anything about the case and they should have sent line prosecutors (like Maurene Comey but oops they fired her) to interview Maxwell instead of the guy who is still currently in an attorney-client relationship with Trump. |
That's because this wasn't an interview. He was not there trying to discover facts. He was there to rehearse her lies with her. |
What are you talking about? You don't send a line prosecutor when you just want to have Maxwell write a list of 100 Democrats for a pardon. Those people resign and make a big deal about that kind of thing. |
In America you are entitled to representation, no matter what. She took on a terrible burden. Will you feel the same way if/when Trump is prosecuted for his horrible crimes? Though, I do get where you are coming from, I feel the same way about ICE agents. Abhorrent fits nicely there. |
She was a public defender. She had no choice. You don't seem to understand how our legal system works. |
Because Epstein was poaching his masseuses (Virginia Roberts Giuffere). |
Trump: People were taken out of the spa, hired by Epstein… I told him we don’t want you taking our people, whether it’s spa or not spa. He did it again, I said out of here.
Reporter: Was one of the stolen people Virginia Giuffre? Trump: I think so. He stole her. https://bsky.app/profile/acyn.bsky.social/post/3lv4q5ebnkk2l Trump says he broke with Epstein because his pal poached workers—he "took people" and "stole people." To his feudal mentality, workers are not people with free will who can accept alternative offers of employment. (Eerie echoes of things said long ago by some of our slaveholding presidents.) |
Epstein's brother said Eptsein dumped Trump as a friend when he found out Trump was a crook. It wasn't the other way around. |
It's not even that, really. Public or private defense counsel who are committed to the legal principles point out that the power of the state is overwhelming. Plus some private defense attorneys I have known have used their defense of "guilty" defendants to change police abuses, bad forensics, 4th amendment violations, etc. They actually protect the rest of us as well, but we don't see how their work has kept us from unlawful arrest and prosecution. Anyway, they are defending the person against the state, not against their victims. |
No it isn't. he knows what he is covering up and his brain is not up to the task. |
