The following is a message for men:
Wearing your underwear to yoga is not OK. Thank you for wearing shorts, but if you could tighten up those shorts around your junk, we would appreciate that, too. Nothing against men practicing yoga. On the contrary, some of you look very fine. |
Jonesing for cock, are we? Or are you just contradicting yourself? Because either you want the junk on display (tight shorts? no underwear?) or you don't but can't express yourself clearly? |
I think she meant the opposite. Sounds like someone wore just boxers to yoga and perhaps put a little too much on display. |
Prude |
Another bare crotch yoga pants woman. |
Obviously I wasn't clear the first time. It's not OK to wear underwear as outerwear to yoga. It's not OK to wear underwear as if it's a bathing suit to the beach or to the pool, for that matter. It's not OK to wear shorts that are too loose around the legs to yoga, unless you have those compression shorts underneath, because you reveal your junk for everyone to see. And that is not OK.
It's not OK because those of us who go to yoga aren't necessarily Jonesing for cock and aren't necessarily prudes. We just want to practice our yoga without a guy flashing us his sweaty balls. By the way, the two guys who wear boxer briefs (and just boxer briefs) to my yoga studio aren't exactly putting "too much" on display. |
Those rules apply for women as well. Women who wear a loose tshirt into a down dog aren't doing anyone any favors. Same w/women who wear too-loose shorts in almost any position.
However I will also speak for myself that I usually forget about my inappropriately dressed classmates as soon as class starts and I start focusing on myself. |
As a fit mail who has taken hot yoga a few times, i wore compression shorts under my loose shorts and a stay dry shirt.
The women in the class were very distracting. Who wears tiny boy short(camel toe), Bra tops and such with flabby bellies, anemic arms and no breasts. Women cover yourself as well. And I am not going to start on the guys wearing speedos.. I stopped going quickly |
I can see it being shocking at the beginning of the class but if you could pay attention and were not jealous of the minimal clothing at the end, you weren't doing it right! For regular yoga, I agree. |
No one is laying down the law, just offering a tip to some clueless guys: don't wear speedos, underwear, or loose shorts that reveal too much. Sometimes the reactions in this forum amaze me. To that advice, we're told we secretly desire the men with the speedos or that we're not doing yoga right since we can't focus.
Most of the time that I am in yoga, I am focused on keeping or improving my pose. However, I am able to notice who is there and how they look. I make no judgement of someone else's body type. I am happy for them that they are striving to be fit and healthy. I'll even admit it's nice to have a hot-looking body to glance at during my water break. But a speedo... please. |
OK.. But offer same tip to women. |
exactly. Why should women be allow to wear their yoga pants san panties and show off their camel toe? |
I have been to yoga where really no. Attractive women have their pubes falling out of their boy shorts which have ridden p their ass.. Eeghh |
Does anyone have a positive suggestion about shorts for men? I have recently started Bikram yoga and wear my regular running shorts, but they don't stretch very much. I wear compression shorts under them. There are some short yoga shorts for about $60 in the studio where I practice. I think they're too short, but I am new to this. Is there a good alternative? |
My DH wore something similar to these:
