Chinese New Year Food

What are you cooking? I'm planning my meal for Sunday and am also learning about what foods to be sure to have, like shrimp for happiness, noodles for longevity, rice for luck and wealth. Thinking about shrimp with noodles, edamame fried rice, and beef/veggie lettuce wraps. What about you?

I'm going to try making a baked nian gao this year, similar to this recipe: http://the-cooking-of-joy.blogspot.com/2009/01/nian-gao.html but using coconut milk and probably no red beans.

For dinner, I'll probably just get takeout from Miu Kee. Not feeling the effort this year, particularly as it will only be me and hubby.
