Seriously. A couple of weeks ago, I found tiny mouse poop in the kitchen, so I set out a couple of glue traps and Tom Thumb bit the dust.
A few days later, found some new poop so set out a couple more traps. Nothing. So I put out some old fashioned traps, baited but not set for a couple days, then set them. Still nothing! I still find new poop, so I know Hunca Munca is still out. There are at least 6 traps set in my tiny kitchen. Short of getting a cat, any suggestions? |
| Bait the traps with peanut butter. Wrap a piece of thread around the "foot spring" and mush it into the peanut butter - it'll get caught in Hunca's teeth and, wham! |
| They get smart! It's annoying but I like the challenge. |
| What did you bait them with? Agree with 13:38 -- mice can't say no to peanut butter! |
| Peanut butter worked for us too. We also used those zapper boxes. I am not an animal lover and have even used glue traps. As disgusting and cruel as they are, they get the job done. |

| Cats! |
| It happens to the best of us... use peanut butter, put traps- old fashioned snap traps work best in groups of 2 with glue traps on either side. If they are able to escape one, the others should do the trick. Look elsewhere for signs- he/s she may have moved to another room. Look behind TV, in clostes, near heater. Good luck! Remember it is war! |
| Bucket of water, coat hanger and water bottle!! Google it. Our mouse ended up being 3!! This worked like a charm. Good luck. |
NP here. I want so much to Google this but I'm terrified of what images may show up. |

Same here. The little bastards have eaten so much peanut butter without being caught it's not funny.
After I discovered a dead mouse under my garbage can, I wised up. (Don't worry - garbage goes out every other day so he couldn't have been there long, though I did almost have a heart attack.) We had a crappy plastic step can that was easy access from the bottom - and it solved the mystery of why our bags are ALWAYS breaking, leaking, etc. So I got a $100 Simple Human can and that has alleviated a ton of the problem. |
No images here - http://www.doityourself.com/stry/building-a-mouse-trap-with-a-pill-bottle-and-bucket#b. I will try anything. Little fuckers. |

i've had the best lucky with the electronic zapper traps. i usually bait with dog treats, but only because i don't want the mess of peanut butter.
good luck! i really hate those little bastards. |
| luck, not lucky. sheesh. |
| You just may need to wait it out. They seem suspicious of new things, but after a week or two, they go got the peanutbutter. We use those traps that they have to crawl in and you don't have to see thedead mouse |
