| I'm clueless. If you have had this done, is the "styling" the same as a bikini wax or is it like a Brazilian? How much did you pay? How many treatments and how many weeks or days apart? Did it hurt? Any regrowth? (And, if so, did you laser again or just wax bc hair much lighter). Thanks in advance for any feedback/info! |

it's whatever styling you want it to be.
I had mine done a few years ago, don't remember how much I paid. Hundreds. I had 6 treatments done. I believe they were once a month? Yes, hurt some. I had bikini area and underarms done. Tolerable. Yes, I am very, very disappointed by how much regrowth I've had. It made almost no difference under my arms. I think the bikini area is thinned out, but I still have to wax/shave. Thought about lasering again, but don't have the money for it right now. And if I pay that much again and still have regrowth I'll be pissed. |

I had this done recently -- I bought a Groupon for 3 treatments so it was very reasonable, but the non-Groupon price was over $100/session.
I went 3 times, once every 4 weeks, and was very pleased with the look/feel and the minimal amount of regrowth while I was on that schedule. Then I got pregnant and stopped going (co-incident with the end of the Groupon) and had a lot of regrowth very fast: not sure if that was hormones or what. I previously had had my legs lasered at a different facility (6+ treatments) and have not had much regrowth even during pregnancy, so it could be that 3 treatments just aren't enough. The woman who did my legs said that most people have to come back once every year or so, after their initial 6-10 treatments, for touch-ups. RE styling, you have to shave the area to be lasered, so you just shave it the way you want it. You do need to tell the clinician where your outer boundary of hair was prior to shaving, though, so that they extend the treatment out far enough. IMO, it does not hurt as much as waxing. But, like waxing, it hurts more the first time than subsequent times. You also may have red inflamed skin and/or red bumps for a couple days after the first treatment, so be aware of that if you are getting ready for a special occasion. |
| Oh, this is 23:18 again. One thing that surprised me was that after my first bikini laser treatment, the shaved hair grew out -- so it looked like there was immediate regrowth, and the laser had done nothing. Then after about 2 weeks, that grown-out hair reached its end stage and fell out, and I was all smooth. This had not happened with my legs and nobody warned me, so for 2 weeks I thought the laser had just failed spectacularly. |

I had three session done so far on my bikini. I space them 8 weeks apart. 4 weeks is just too close together to get the next hair cycle. My bikini line was super thick and in-grown previously. It is MUCH better now. I still need to shave but its so much lighter that I don't have to worry about getting a bikini rash anymore. I plan to do more treatments.
FWIW, I had my happy trail done years ago. I had about 6 or 7 sessions. It was bad...and I'm Italian. I didn't have regrowth until I got pregnant. Then it came back...however, about 6-9 months post-partum it all fell out. I have one stubborn hair that keeps coming back, but no happy trail. |
