Stoddert kids going to Hardy next year

I understand there will likely be a pretty large group of current Stoddert 5th graders heading to Hardy for 6th. What about 5th graders from other in-bounds Hardy feeder schools? Any sense of your numbers?

What is "a large group" exactly? The lotteries haven't even happened yet, which makes your post look suspiciously boostery.

What do lotteries have to do with current fifth graders going to their matter of right MS?

They wont go to Hardy if they lottery in to somewhere preferable. Nobody gets in to Deal on the OOB lottery these days, so I guess its charters...

Yes. I could have said "booster-like" or "booster-ish" - it was faster to type. I see you have not addressed the actual substance of the post, just the employment of a made-up but clearly understandable word.

So, in a sense you are conceding the point. After all, "If you can't argue the case on its merits, you resort to personal attacks."

Firstly, because that isn't necessarily their matter of right MS. There are OOB students at Stoddert, if there are changes to the boundaries and/or OOB process, their situations could change.

More importantly, because if they get into Latin or Basis, the calculus will very likely change. Parents are notorious for encouraging each other they'll all be in it together, and then leaving as soon as there is a better opportunity available.

OP here. Wow, some interesting posts. The parents I know of are planning to send their kids to Hardy because they like Hardy. They're not doing lotteries. Anyway, any other in-bounds feeders have significant kids going to Hardy?

yes - rumor has it the entire Mann class has made a pact. They are saying "no" to Privates this year and enrolling at Hardy.

Really? That's great news, unless you're kidding.
