The most likely explanation is that the Apache shot down the Shahed and then flew through the debris field, which disabled the helicopter. Shaheds do not have the capacity to function as a surface to air missile. Russians have been using them for years in Ukraine and they have never hit a moving target in the air. It's not an FPV drone with an operator and a joystick. They are pre-programmed to hit stationary targets. The Apache likely fired upon it from too close.

Why is Israel's concern and safety more important than that of the other nations in the region? Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, and Qatar received most of the damage from the war and they were the least protected by the USA.
