This is actually quite helpful for other clubs. The transition plan laid out in the announcement makes a lot of sense.

Directly from your link...

Benefits of This Change:

This change aligns players with their school-grade peers.
Allows more children to play with friends in their school-year cohort.
Grouping players by school year can lead to more appropriate development opportunities.

Here and I thought it was Seasonal Year....

Hmmm... Sure seems to imply that clubs intend to group players by grade in school. Which means Aug birthdays will play with their grade.

Oh my god, this Aug clown is back, and cannot read at all.

In the same link:
Is registration based on your grade in school?

A: No it is still based on your date of birth to determine the age group you will play. A child held back a year in school, will not be impacted.

Perhaps critical is Arlington is in Virginia and the cut-off is Sep 30 -- making 2 months potentially misaligned. Interesting they don't address this in the FAQ.

I cant wait to see the coach that will take an Aug birthday thats playing up in BY and drop them so theyre playing down a grade in SY.

🤣

Q: How does this affect my player if they’re born in August–December?

A: These players are most likely to shift age groups.

Q: Can players play up an age group?

A: As always, Arlington Soccer will allow for flexibility when appropriate based on skill, maturity, individual and team needs. These will generally be rare cases and not the norm.

So what you're saying is that clubs will roster players based on. their grade in school.

Hmmm.... Who said that from the beginning ?

Its OK to admit your wrong and an idiot.

No, it's going to happen more but it's based on age:

You seem hallucinate grade year mentioned everyone when it isn't mentioned at all. GY wasn't a choice, 8/1-7/31 is a go.

Guys, please don’t interact with the Aug guy. He might be an ai chat bot designed to be dumb and provoking, just attracting more traffic for this site before MLSN makes the announcement.

We are GA team with a star August player. Our coach already let her parents know she will have the choice to stay with the team or "playing down" next season.

I believe thst you're lieing but whatever.

its interesting that your "coach" is giving you the option to play down. Almost like they dont want to be the one that screwed over a players future.
