Need a good white t-shirt

Anonymous
Title of the post says it all -- I'm tired of buying something made of a material that looks dingy within 2 washes, that doesn't hold its shape, or is too skin-tight/form fitting. I usually just pick up a white tee from the Gap, such as the Gap Favorite T, but I really don't think they are any good. I generally use them for layering, or under a cardigan for work.

Anyone find a good white t-shirt lately? I'm not interested in spending over $20 on a t-shirt...just need something better than a Gap Favorite T.

I need this too. And maybe a recommendation for a vneck that's not too low-cut

Vince brand-but it may be more than $20.

Everlane.com has great quality ones at an affordable price.

James Perse is excellent but definitely not cheap.

LL bean. Not super stylish, but what white t shirt is? They will also always accept returns if you don't like it or it doesn't hold up. Free shipping too!

OP again, I should have put in my original post that I prefer t-shirts to be a little on the longer side -- I did clean out of my dresser over the weekend and found a lot of tees I used to wear were on the shorter side! Definitely more flattering in a longer length.

Ann Taylor has t-shirts that are a more substantial and stylish than a typical t-shirt. I think I see them more in the spring, but you can always look online or check the outlet.

Lands end

Lands End. I have their t-shirts in short, long and 3/4 length in many colors. They last for years.

I, too, have searched high and low. Gap ones don't hold up well after a few washes, Ann Taylor Loft ones shrank, JCrew ones get tiny holes and Old Navy ones are really poor quality now.
Theory Outlet in Leesburg has perfect layering tees. Scoop neck, cotton blend that is not see through, form fitting but not super tight, long. They are typically $42 but you can catch them on sale for 25% off fairly frequently. Come in white, black, charcoal, navy. Short sleeve and long sleeve.
Love them!

Sorry? I'm not affiliated with target... Simply my opinion.

I like Target too. The Mossimo brand, not the Merona brand.

My faves are actually from Forever 21.
