IYKYK and if you don't, you don't matter. You are obviously someone who doesn't matter. |
The OP troll is not a LAC booster and started a thread showing an obsession with trashing LACS (and a really false sense of reality). OP's world view is that a "well known" label is the the only criteria for a excellent education, which is silly, since most actually "well known" colleges in the U.S. are known for their sports teams. Ironically, most people in the U.S. cannot name the schools in the sports league known as the Ivy League, nor tell you have many schools there are in that league. |
Well, most people cannot even name 1 SLAC. In fact, most people do not even know what SLAC is. |
Most people don't know the names of any universities other than Harvard and the big sports schools. Why is this barometer so important? |
Because it is all that the SLAC haters have so they run with it. |
Uneducated folks and those not educated in the US, yes. |
I asked 10 people at work if they knew what "SLAC" was (3 blacks, 3 Hispanics, 3 whites, 1 Asian) and 0 person knew what it was. |
You asked them if they knew a particular acronym with no context? Okay... |
| does Colgate really give non-need based aid? I thought they only did need based, like the better SLACs |
I know, what a maroon.....I'm sure that they would have lit up if they were asked what an R1 is as well. Flippin idiots. |
Colgate does not offer merit aid, they fully meet need. |
