Someone has a vendetta against the 2006 WS/MU team. Likely either a former parent or a spurned parent whose DD either didn't get an offer or has an issue with someone there now.

I'd be interested to see how many goals a div 2 NCSL team would give up to Penn Fusion DA.... THAT match would be pure comedy.

I just love these Metro/Spirit vendettas. The club is going through growing pains and currently offers no competitive threat to other DAs. Take the easy win and just live your own life. Save your vendetta for a club that threatens you on the field. The constant trolling of Metro just shows a deep insecurity in your own program and your own cowardice because you won’t talk trash about clubs who might actually threaten you on the field.

And why the trolling of the playups is also baffling. Acting like they are concerned for the well being of those kids. If the playups didn’t show up to your ID sessions perhaps you should reach out to them personally in an effort to get them on the right soccer path.

+1000. The girl that is playing up might be the next Olivia Moultrie. Also, if her parents and the other parents on her team have no concern, then why should anyone be concerned?

Uhh, nobody said the other parents on the team don't have concern. Several have directly expressed concern.

Uh no. No parents expressed concern about play ups on the 06 team. You are speaking about another team. I know it is hard for you to track as a complete outsider. Sorry to burst your bubble.

No one has said anything to you. Both teams have parents who have quietly said something to other parents they are close with but because of fear of the blowback, they don't say anything openly.

LOL!!! Possible "blowback"....

Given the blowback on this forum and the open hostility any time any criticism is mentioned, yes, who would dare speak up in person?

I know - it's stupid. The parents are all friends and talk all the time. Some desperation out there. Makes me laugh.

Firsthand knowledge.

Ok but that's not the 06 team. Yes some 05 parents maybe are not super happy about the 07 play up. I am on the 06 and we would love to have her on our team. Let me repeat. We would love to have her on the 06 team. Great kid, great player.

Here's the thing. The parents on this team all like each other. I am comfortable walking up to any parent on the team and talking to them. No drama. We joke around, we are happy. We like each other. So this argument falls completely flat. There is no hostility either. We defend our team because we like it and care, but nobody is attacking you or your DD. We are not like that. So you have us wrong. We like Metro. We like the coaches and club. Sorry pal. Best of luck to you. I hope you get over whatever it is you have with us.

Another 06 parent here. I'm at a loss to understand why this person holds such a deep resentment of the parents and kids on the 06 team,no matter which year they were born. It's baffling.

I have nothing with you. Some of you are friends with me and don't know it. I like MU too. A lot. I believe the 06 situation is a one time thing and will be corrected. Which is why I believe we have to be honest on this forum and acknowledge that this wasn't ideal, it isn't a total disaster though, these kids do have talent which will become apparent next year when the teams are age-corrected. I don't want to Glass it over and pretend like this is so awesome, and why doesn't everybody see that? And come on over to play up here at MU. That's where I'm coming from. I love those kids, who keep trying game after game and never give up. That's heart.

It would be the best scenario for everyone, the 06 team and the correct fit for the 07 player. Maybe it will happen next year when the 06 team is a bit more competitive.

Shoot. The play ups are impact players at 06. I hope they stay on 06 next year. If we lose them to 07 then yes. They would be great players at age. One the best things the Metro coaches did was not just take anyone. They were selective. If you ask any 06 parent why we did not score in the fall? We have no forwards. That's not an offensive comment to any parent. Trust me. We speak openly. The players who played as forwards are all midfielders or defenders. Honestly, if your kid is fast and can score - join the team. You will rack up DA goals. I think the coaches have been looking for that role to fill.

We don't know what the coaches will do with the teams and players yet. We understand there will be an 08 and 07 team. So all "could" play at age next year except the 09. But she will be great on an 08 team.

Would the playups be strong players at age?

Yes, most of them.

Did they have a at age option at Metro?

We don't know what the coaches will do with the teams and players yet. We understand there will be an 08 and 07 team. So all "could" play at age next year except the 09. But she will be great on an 08 team.

Would it be safe to say that all the playups were considering the year at 06 a temporary situation?

Yes, except maybe an 07 or two.

So why all the negativity?
