Why are women treated like 5th class citizens? |
If you had to choose a different religion which would you choose? |
The Nation of Islam are in no way shape form or fashion associated with Islam. They're misguided people. |
That's known as a mutta marriage, it's forbidden in Islam. |
It's allowed in Shia Islam, no? |
Yes it is, allowed and widely practiced, but badmouthed by Sunnis. As far as I'm concerned, a muta marriage is an unnecessary innovation since divorce for men is very easy in Islam. If anything, muta marriage favors women who can get out of it relatively easily. |
When looking into Islam you have to examine the Quran and the Sunnah (Ahadiths) of the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alahi wa salam. As Muslims you are not allowed to adorn yourself for anyone but your spouse, or in certain cases, say you're at a gathering (we only do same sex gatherings as free mixing leads to problems) you're allowed to dress up and wear the make up but you have to keep covered in the presence of others not related to you (mahram) or others. |

Does Islam impose a higher moral standard for how you treat other Muslims than for how you treat non-Muslims?
Not OP but Another Muslim poster: nope- a person is a person.
A Muslim man once told me if want fine for him to sleep with non-Muslim women outside of marriage but that he would be defiling a Muslim woman if he did that with her before marriage. I found that insulting. What was he talking about?
It's a tricky situation as is anyone who has unlawful sexual intercourse (Sex out of wedlock). He is in the wrong, he knows it but he meant that to say, he holds Muslim women in much higher regard, they're the foundation of a successful household and ruining her future life would have a much greater effect on more people in the long run, but on the other hand he knows most (I'm not saying you in particular) women are able to have relations and eventually Boone back and go on with their lives like nothing happened. We should all be guarding our private parts from anyone who isn't our legitimate spouse, but that's what he meant.. We hold our women in a much higher regard than non Muslim men |

Were they arab? That is not from Islam. That only applies when your dealing with the opposite gender, as they aren't supposed to touch, talk aimlessly, or just be around each other for no good reason. That's also true my friend, but as a Muslim, its all about moderation. |
Of course they can, its actually encouraged as Halal meats and food is processed differently than others. You don't have to worry about steroids and other GMO's in your meat because its something that we simply have no hand in. Nobody bothers anyone or even looks twice unless their dressed inappropriately. No way! There are muslims of Every race |
No way many muslims have dogs as pets. Many Muslims tend to stay from dogs as some are from the Jinn, and you are considered unclean and are unable to pray if their hair gets on you or your clothes |
What do you mean by second? Men and women in any aspect are equal but different. People fail to realize this fact. There are many things men cannot do that women can and vice versa. What is your religion? Allah gave women rights 1436 years ago when they were previously being bought and sold and buried alive, in other parts of the world their existence was often questioned and put down time and time again. No other religion but Islam holds our women with higher regard in the entire world, do your research. Yes, that's how Allah made us, men as the providers, protectors, and women the housekeepers, etc. This concept just changed within about 50-60 years in this country.
