Trump is not releasing it from treasury, variably stealing it from every person who buys a ticket.

Americans have been held hostage ever since he came back to office. That’s his art of the deal- screwing over little guys relentlessly. He’s been doing it since the 1970s. I can’t even believe the white working class men voted for him after how many times Trump has screwed their brothers over.

They are truly a special class of idiot.

This!
That is the only thing Trump knows how to do. And it’s why Iran has stymied him. Unbelievable that the GOP kowtows to this two-bit hustler from Queens.

The Republican-controlled Senate passed a bill to fund TSA without funding ICE, and the Republican-controlled House rejected the measure to fund TSA without funding ICE, so the Republican President just signed an executive order to fund TSA without funding ICE.

A very Trump 2 sequence of events here:
1. Trump creates problem
2. Senate resolves problem, exercising constitutional authority of Congress
3. House GOP rejects solution
4. Trump takes unlawful steps to "solve" problem, seizing the rightful authority of Congress with the assent of the House GOP

Why would the House reject the Senate-approved bill only for Trump to sign an EA that does the same thing? Is this so that he can play the hero? None of this makes sense to me.

So that they didn’t have to agree not to fund ICE (the officers’ pay is set through 2029, but the admin, civilians, etc. aren’t being paid now. Ditto the Coast Guard and others.).

So they’re paying TSA but DHS is still unfunded

According to various X accounts TSA fees went into various slush funds long ago. Is it even possible to separate these funds from everything else?

Right. Republicans are violating the Constitution and creating chaos in air travel because the want the optics of showing that they will sacrifice the functioning of the government just to make a meaningless token gesture of loyalty to Trump's brownshirts

Full ground stop in the DC Metro area because there are no ATC's at the primary radar facility.

I guess there was another "environmental" evacuation.

Maybe if the administration was more focused on domestic affairs and not bombing other countries or terrorizing its citizens, these things wouldn't be happening.

On the other hand, LOL at the House and Senate members trying to get out of town for recess.

ICE *ALREADY GOT FUNDED* by OBBBA. The "Big Beautiful Bill" 1. gave ICE 7x their normal budget. Enough to fund them for SEVEN YEARS. And it also gave CBP 4x their normal budget. They have TONS of money, unless it was somehow stolen or wasted.

So what the hell are the Republicans doing, demanding MORE money for ICE?

Enjoy your TSA lines!

Well now ICEs slush fund is going to pay TSA. I consider that a win.
