Hamas seems to think one Israeli life is worth hundreds of Palestinian lives, as shown by the ratio of releases when a hostage-for-prisoner event happens. In the first phase of the ceasefire, Hamas released 33 living and 4 deceased Israeli hostages in return for 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.
