He is okay with bibles in schools but this since it involves another religion is bad to him. When it comes to secularism, in this country that does not mean limiting Non- Christian religious celebrations and cultural events.

There was nothing to indicate that in OP's post. Why do you not understand that the school is not to send out invitations to any religious event? OP could be an atheist. The invitation came out on school email. Why?

Is that a district or state policy to not send invitations to religious events?

It’s a US Constitution policy

For schools to not allow religion?

Kind of makes you wonder how FCPS is celebrating religious holidays also.

They aren’t celebrated religious holidays. The stated rationale for closures is operational challenges due to absences. This was all spelled out when they adopted the 3 years of calendars.

Are you new to our country?

The white people here are complaining because they are scared that soon they won't be the dominant culture in this country. That is why MAGA is in power at the moment, that is why the mommies here complained about the Iftar. We all know it, ladies.

DP. I’m a not Jewish, yet I will not remain quiet while you vomit your vile to this parent, and refer in such a derogatory manner towards students, parents, and staff who are Jewish. You are welcome to move to Gaza and join the war there, but you are not bringing it to FCPS.

The Intifada war that broke up in our universities will not be replicated in our schools here. The way Jewish students and staff were treated at Ivy League universities, while no one did anything, was shameful. Stop mocking this parent for expressing concern about their children.

Lastly, you certainly have an issue with women, particularly with mothers. Same with white people. Seek professional help ASAP.

Thank you!!!!

For that reason alone, the schools must stop these sorts of entanglements.

So what you are saying is that your family is xenophobic. You're scared of all Muslims? Your cultural group is welcome to hold and invite the community to a Seder, PP. Saying your baby snowflake would feel unsafe at a school because of an Iftar held outside of school hours just makes you sound like a horrible racist, xenophobic person.

I am happy to have a community seder hosted at a synagogue. Not at a public school.

But I bet the "my Jewish child will feel unsafe" would have no qualms with a Seder in the middle school, nor would she think about the "safety" of Islamic children if it was held.

I answered this, but it got deleted. Research what groups are associated with the high school MSAs and what groups the speakers come from. This isn't about religion. The Muslim religion is peaceful. It's about groups currently being investigated for ties to Hamas or groups already found to have ties having influence over minors at a public school system.

Again. This has nothing to do with which religion. OP's post was about an email invitation from FCPS staff. It was inappropriate, yet others seem to think that one group should be exempt from this rule.

Are you OK with the Iftar dinner at Langley High? It was sponsored by a Langley MSA and took place at the school but there was no email from the principal purporting to invite anyone to the event.
