Joe is an embarrassment but if he was notified of a breach of security at the US Capitol by a mob of hundreds, he would pick up the phone and do everything in his Commander-in-Chief power to assist in regaining security at the Fed Government's most important building. Trump doing absolutely nothing for three hours during that moment was the most embarrassing episode of dereliction of duty by a POTUS in our nation's history and our friends and enemies around the world witnessed it.

Dereliction of duty from a POTUS is more problematic than a way too old POTUS doing old man things on a trip overseas. Real Americans don't support dereliction of duty from a POTUS.

Well, if so, Trump had no idea at the time it was a "hoax". His staff that were begging him to act didn't know. His children that were begging him to act didn't know. In a post 9/11 world, you have to assume people forcing their way into the Capitol Building are carrying bombs and deadly arms. That's how security is supposed to work around Federal buildings.

What did Trump do when he saw this happening on TV and was receiving non-stop calls and messages begging for the commander-in-chief's help? He did nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Businesses burning is terrible and our politicians are indeed awful but city riots aren't the same as a security breach by a mob of hundreds at a Federal Government Building when 3/4 of our most prominent government officials are inside.
