Why does everyone think Kamala was such a bad candidate?

You need to be a freak of nature to go through all that again - like Trump. That's not Harris. She's presumably intelligent and self-aware enough to understand that she does not have what it takes. She isn't driven by ego or by a passion for policy. She's an opportunist who had a nice career but finally hit her wall. I think she knows that. She has a comfortable life to fall back on. And that's what she'll likely do.

What do former VPs normally do? They don’t normally stay in elective politics. Dick Cheney. Al Gore. Dan Quayle. Walter Mondale.

They get on corporate boards, do public appearances and make some money.

I think Harris will get some no show job at the University of California that pays a lot.

Mondale had the same misfortune as Harris. He was VP of a very unpopular POTUS and lost his bid for The White House in much more of a landslide defeat than Harris because he was running against a legitimate POTUS candidate in Reagan while Harris was running against a terrible opponent in Trump. Biden deserves 99.9% of the blame for Trump's 2024 victory.

Your mob bosses installed Joe.

But here we are and Trump is going to be President. We Americans are on the whole, incredibly stupid people.
The election was 6 weeks ago, so it’s really time to get over it and consider the future. Calling the American people “stupid” does nothing to advance the ball. Try to get it out of your system, and think about viable candidates for 2028.

Pretty sure it's fair to say the average American voter IQ is much less than it was 20 or 30 years ago considering we've elected Trump, Biden, Trump in the past three elections. Nothing wrong with acknowledging this stupidity and trying to deal with it in advance of 2028 so that another Trump or Biden isn't elected.

This is the best the left has. They don't have any practical offerings, so they sell self righteous outrage and elitism. The idea that if you believe X that you are part of an inner ring of heardled geniuses is intoxicating.

You my friend probably voted for Trump or Biden in 2020 and therefore you are to blame for all this mess. Find a brain. 80 year old people don't make good presidents. This is not rocket science. A 1st grader could figure this out; why not you?

You're really obsessed with intelligence and shouting out into the void that you have the most. Congrats? But it's just not relevant to a political discussion. You lost. We won. I guess being the World's Smartest Political Party isn't actually working for you.

We will have another arrogant pea-brained 80 year old "leader" in office until 2029. If you're admitting to voting for Trump or Biden, you're the problem, not me.

Not PP involved in this, but I am confused by this post. This seems to be an insult based on voting for either Trump or Biden in 2020. Was there another option that I missed ? I think the 1st grader would have also picked Trump or Biden. Am I misreading this post?

Yes, some people are smart enough to know that 80 year old people aren't our best options to serve in the most powerful and demanding position in the world.

Biden deserves about 25% of the credit for Trump's 2024 victory.

FTFY.

99%. If Biden would have gotten the heck out of the way much sooner, we could have nominated a candidate with the stamp of approval from the American people and any normal candidate nominated in the proper manner would obviously destroy Trump.
