Most normal Americans don't want weird politicians. We want boring, capable, and ethical politicians who do not have their nose buried in their bizarro Twitter feed for 8+ hours per day (literally a lot of Congress critters are reading Twitter that much per day and are OBSESSED with their engagement metrics).

We don't mind when they are weird but good - you know, eclectic weird, interesting weird - but when they are the kind of weird that makes you think they'd hold you hostage in their basement for your own good, that's a different story.

So you admit you’re a hypocrite.

Not that pp, but when someone thinks that Hannibal Lecter is actually real, newsflash, they are weird.

When someone tries to control the movement of a hurricane with a Sharpie, they are weird.

If you aren't embarrassed you raw dogged a porn story while your wife was having a baby, you might be weird.

And so on.

A lot of people are a little weird. Trump is a whole lot of weird.

What does that have to do with his ability to run the country? Or do you only vote for people if you enjoy their memes?

There are plenty of threads to get into that if you want. This is about Trump and Vance's weirdness. And apparently Trump is a pedo. I actually hadn't seen that until now so this thread has been newsworthy for me.

Who knew that being called "weird" is such an insult to the people who think they're so above us.

Yes, it was eye opening to see:
Four women who competed in the 1997 Miss Teen USA beauty pageant also said the Republican used to walk in. Some of the girls were as young as 15.

Former Miss Vermont Teen USA, Mariah Billado, told Buzzfeed: "I remember putting on my dress really quick because I was like, 'Oh my god, there's a man in here."

Three other girls chose to remain anonymous, but told the publication it was "creepy" and "shocking".

Mr Trump said on the Howard Stern radio show in 2005 that he was “allowed”, as the owner of the pageant, to go backstage while the contestants were getting dressed.

So thinking a fictional character is real and believing weather can be changed by one human being with a sharpie doesn't disqualify you from being President again?

I would say it does, because if you can't distinguish fact from fiction, you have no business running a country.

And if you have absolutely no shame whatsoever, you are not morally fit to run a Democracy.

Absolutely! You can't look at JD especially, and think 'There goes a totally normal guy!'. And we ALLLLLL know that Trump is weird. It's a really simple message that people will mostly agree with.

So that kind of weird doesn’t sit well with you, but you’re okay with a man, that has a penis, competing in women’s sports? Hypocrite.

You know what kind of weird doesn't sit well with me?

People who can't stop thinking about genitals when they watch or talk about sports.

People like you need therapy. A LOT of therapy. Someone must have done a number on you when you were a kid to be this obsessed with sex organs at a sporting event.

That is such a flat, stupid argument. Tell that to the girls that have to tolerate a grown man in their locker room. What a lame response to gaslight me so you don’t have to focus on the actual facts. Hypocrite.

Tell it to the girls who had Trump in their locker room? https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/a-timeline-of-donald-trumps-creepiness-while-he-owned-miss-universe-191860/

Sad attempt to deflect. Obviously, he shouldn’t have been in there either.

So weird. You must be weird. And not in the queer weird way.

In that strange way of the internet, this article from 2019 resurfaced, and within it is a story of Trump and Epstein partying together, just those two and 28 girls. I’m sure nothing untoward happened. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/09/us/politics/trump-epstein.html

Is creeping on kids in locker rooms "normal" behavior? I think it's weird. I think most people know it's weird.

I do think I’m above you, so you’ve got me there. I don’t think it’s that people are insulted, it’s that you’re supposed to be the party of acceptance…so the irony is interesting. That people are supposed to be tolerant, but only of the people you deem worthy of tolerance.

I actually love this thread. If the biggest “issues” with Vance are screwing a couch or dolphin, and Trump having an affair or going into a locker room a decade ago…I feel awesome about their chances of being elected.

You got us there, we don't tolerate intolerance. You're voting for a total creep, enjoy that, but it calls your "superiority" into question. I'm glad you feel awesome, you sound so mentally well we wouldn't believe it! The greatest! The most awesome!

For Trump, it was the whole effing up the country thing. He came in on the escalator and went out in flames. A literal coup attempt.

This is still America, you know. We're not supposed to be installing dictators.

Trump played the role of pedo...but it was a decade ago so it's all good, right? That's the spin you're going with there?

As you know, there are plenty of other threads that get into many, many more issues concerning Trump and/or Vance. Your post indicates you actually are triggered by this.

It's amazing to watch the party of "family values" defend child abuse.
