Alito displayed a “stop the steal” symbol at his home

Where are you posting from that you have this little knowledge about the volume of rules, ethics, and professional behavior that federal employees have to follow?

It's distasteful to fly a flag upside down, but would not be a Hatch Act violation.

Why are you so fixated on the Hatch Act? Red herring much?

The Hatch Act doesn't apply to federal judges. Just stop with it.

The flag is supposed to be flown upside down only in case of an emergency.

This incident occurred at the home of a SCOTUS justice. Distasteful doesn't even begin to describe what is wrong, unethical, and professionally negligent/malpractice here.

Exactly. He’s showing us he’s partisan and not fit for the court.

Good question. Has Roberts said anything?

Roberts is probably annoyed that someone finally leaked Cheaty Alito’s symbol of treason.

And we’re supposed to trust this man to be a good jurist? And he’s either in a neighborhood squabble in which he, one of the nine people with more power than anyone else in the entire country, can’t be the bigger person or he’s an insurrectionist.

What’s an especially ugly look is that no one in the GOP cares enough to even say anything. When Republicans get testy that we say they’re all insurrectionists, this is a good example of why we say that. And why that’s true.

They know it’s indefensible.

They do.

But one facet of maga cult hood is that once something crosses their personal and private line in the sand, they take quiet time to regroup, to create a suite of rationalizations that makes the offense not so bad.

To any such people reading this post: you can come out of the cult. Shake your head and think clearly, apart from the insistent drone of right wing media. Alito is a traitor to his country, the GOP has turned turned traitor to this country and on some level you know it. Explore your sense of right and wrong.

If he were a female country singer who did this to express emergency during the Trump administration, they’d “cancel” her. But SCJ, whatever.

Maybe not even combined.

If he were a female country singer, she’d be spending hundreds of thousands on personal security with all the GOP terrorists threatening her and stalking her, and yes her career trajectory would take a total dive.

But Sam Alito? He could burn a cross on his lawn and the idiots in the GOP would think he was just honoring God.
