Any predictions on the Dem endorsements for At-Large?

Moon, McElveen, McDaniel, in that order.

Has anyone announced that they are running against Anderson, Meren, or Frisch yet? Either as a Democrat trying to get the D endorsement (seems unlikely without a primary) or as a R or I.

Thank you! Also how in God’s green earth has Karl Frisch raised nearly $200k?? WHO likes this guy that much??!?

Paul Thomas has a chance against Meren in Hunter Mill.

Sadly I think we’re stuck with Frisch if his only opponent is the dude who’d absolutely obsessed with trans rights. Frisch is in some ways the worst member of the current Board, at least in terms of the sheer amount of taxpayer money he’s wasted. His Dunn Loring fiasco is the single biggest waste of taxpayer money in Fairfax County in decades. And the fact that the other Democrats except for McLaughlin went along with it ought to disqualify any of them from ever holding public office again, but of course it won’t.

Traditionally, they honor whatever the district rep wants in his/her own district.

That’s really no excuse when the price tag for the Dunn Loring boondoggle is now over $60M that could have been put to better uses. All because Frisch, who is a complete scumbag, wanted to save a dog park.

Agree. I guess, though, that they want to "bank" the votes for when they need them.

I do remember a boundary issue where another member went against the district member with a small adjustment. But, the school did have a split district with both of those members having jurisdiction over the school. But, the adjustment was not in her district.

I think it’s some time in June but the parties may endorse first.

There was a Woodson attendance island in Fairfax Station that got reassigned to Robinson years ago over the objections of both McLaughlin and Schultz, who were the two Board members for those schools.

They may have deferred to Frisch on Dunn Loring because they thought he was just moving money around from one part of his district (Oakton) to another (Vienna/Dunn Loring) but the cost has spiraled and the school isn’t needed in Dunn Loring. If they weren’t such a bunch of brain-dead morons happy to keep scratching each other’s backs, they could have shut this colossal waste of money down in its tracks.

He’s really a bag man for donors from NY and California looking to influence politics in VA. They may contribute to him but then that money ends up going from Frisch to a bunch of other candidates. You don’t need $150-200K to win a School Board race in Fairfax as an incumbent.
