What exactly would you tell them? |
You can find out in the papers. |
Is that you, jeff bezos??? |
already happening! you should find a coworker who is also interested and get connected to the other people organizing. it grows one by one. |
(I mean - also reach out to NTEU, who may be able to connect you to others in your office.) |
If there are non officer fed attorneys making $300k with bonus, then I think that would be news to many folks at the fed. I don’t think you’d make $300k even with 20 years of experience unless you’re an officer. |
Meant to write “non officer fed attorneys with 10 years of experience” |
So what would a fed attorney with 10 years of experience generally make at the fed with bonus? |
| Guys, you’re making this difficult on yourselves. Google “open payrolls” and look at the FRB salaries. Add 20% to the base to get the total salary. Last reported salaries are 2021, so add about 10% to get updated base salaries. |
FRB is not disclosed |
| Google open payrolls federal reserve board. Folllow the first link. |
Is that what people are basing the 300K number on? It's not rooted in reality. FRB only discloses a very small number of salaries, mostly officers and very senior employees. This article puts the disclosed number at about 13% of FRB employees. https://www.forbes.com/sites/adamandrzejewski/2021/10/26/why-so-secret-the-federal-reserve-hides-nearly-all-23000-employee-salaries/?sh=4bf720cb1366 |
So almost all of those people appear to be officers. And even with bonus you don’t get to $300k for many of them. So this idea that everyone at the fed is pulling in $300k is incredibly far from reality. |

One reason may be re-establishing the Board, which is government, as distinct from the Reserve Banks, which are not. Many Board employees have blurred this, particularly in some divisions, and governance has suffered. This is against a backdrop of several scandals (perhaps too strong a word but Congress has certainly weighed in) at Reserve Banks. Covid and WFH have exacerbated the blurring.
Employees of Reserve Banks, by the way, are not subject to the same security clearance as Board employees because they are conducted under state, not federal, law. |
That’s going to be more challenging to do since so many staff are leaving the FRB. An increasing number of resources are from RBs. |
