But…publicly? That’s really strange to air your dirty laundry unless you’re already checked out and planning to divorce. There is no way they can recover from this.

Brady aired their marital troubles to HOward Stern a while back as well.

Not really. He said she was passionate and strong willed or something to that affect, but he never insulted her or said anything to betray their marriage/trust.

He also said that she was unhappy because he had no focus towards the home and their children and was always asking when he would be able to be present for them. So as of 2018 it was this same issue that was significant enough he spoke about it publicly. I'm guessing she was vocal about this for quite some time before that. So she's been unhappy with the lack of attention to her and the kids for minimum 4 years, likely much longer. She thinks he'll finally start being a present husband and father and he renegs.

Yup. He just said in an interview that he has missed 23 thanksgivings, 23 Christmases, many weddings, and many funerals because of his football career. He has prioritized that over all else. That ultimately comes at great cost in this case, likely his marriage.

People like him never seem to learn you can't have it all. Something has to give...spouse, children, career, health etc

Totally agree. I said elsewhere in the thread that I think football is a family career - it's not just about the player.

He also said “I haven't celebrated birthdays with people that I care about that are, you know, born from August to late January.”

Jack was born in August and Vivian was born in December.

+1. Wouldn't a divorce be best for him anyway? Then he wouldn't have to worry about being home for the kids. She could have full custody, and he could be playing football/training every day all year long.

Yup, and then he can marry a younger spouse after he finally retires, have another set of kids where he would have time to be present and help them become a football player to carry on his legacy. Sad for his older kids but to be expected.
