| I'm trying to use all the meat in my freezer before I go shopping again. Unfortunately, I'm down to some white fish and three 1-lb packages of ground beef. We're sick of regular spaghetti and don't want fish. Can I make anything creative or decent out of the above ingredients? |

burgers and potato gratin.
burgers and roasted potatoes. spaghetti pie. |

Spaghetti bolognese!
http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/bolognese_meat_sauce/ I usually make a batch with 2 lbs of meat and then do 1/2 of the sauce with spaghetti, and 1/2 with lasagna the next week (freeze the sauce, it holds up well!) |

I would roast the red skin potatoes (chop them up) with garlic, olive oil and salt/pepper.
Never had fingerling sweet potates but with regular ones, I boil them then serve with olive oil and kosher salt. Personally, I don't like meat and pasta, so I wouldn't add those together. Do you have hamburger buns? Then make burgers, and chop up the onions to put in the meat. |

To use up the whitefish in a fun way, make Brazilian seafood stew:

pasta with fish and vegetables in it. roast the potatoes.
hamburgers or cheese burgers. |
| Shepherd's pie with the hamburger, red potatoes (mashed), and onion. Throw in some carrot, peas, and corn if you have them. |

thanks for the ideas everyone! Shepherd pie tonight, and great ideas for the other 2 lbs. And the fish stew, thank you!
For some reason, I never think of hamburgers. I think it's because I love those big, thick pub hamburgers, and mine have never ever turned out like that. Do you have suggestions on making great hamburgers? When I have made them, I'll throw some steak seasoning, onion or onion soup mix in the burger. |
| I've been making burgers at home lately and it works better if I just make them thin. I just use salt, pepper, Worcester and dried onion flakes and DH and picky DS have been really happy with them. I usually sauté some mushrooms to put on mine. |
| Throw them all a crockpot |
The key is not to overhandle them. Keep as loose as possible, handle as little as possible, and then they won't be tough. |
| We use buffalo meat-- leaner (healthier) but MUCH better than ground turkey. We use shallots, garlic, and tons of Worcester sauce. YUM. |
