I get my hair cut every four months. Costs $75.
Hair products cost $30 each - there are two of them - and last me about three months. Shampoo / conditioner is about $15 a month. |
| I get my hair cut every 3 mos for about $100. No product. Pantene shampoo and conditioner. I have naturally thick Asian hair with some wave and I'm not yet going gray so it's pretty cheap aside from a good cut. |
| Get cut and highlights every 6 months. Use basic drug store shampoo and conditioner. No other products. Call me low maintenance. |
| Cut and highlights every 5 or so months - $240. Otherwise, drug store shampoo and conditioner. Trim my own bangs even though it's free at the salon because I'm too lazy to go into the salon. I guess running the hair dryer costs money. |

Are we twins? This is exactly what I would have typed, except for being Asian. Some gray has begun around my temple (I'm 46), but I like how it looks.

Cut every 3-4 months: $100
shampoo and conditioner: $15 every 3-4 months styling products: $80 every 2-3 months |

$100 cut and blowdry about 4 times a year
Drugstore shampoo, conditioner, and styling products (or Whole Foods... like Alba and Aubrey Organics)... I would say about $100 a year So about $500 a year. I'm 42 and my hair is one of the few things about my appearance that I'm happy with. Haven't started graying yet, and have never done any coloring or chemical processing to my hair, so it's in good shape. I'm a dark blonde with red tones. |

cut every 8 weeks $75 = $450
drug store semi-permanent color every 28 days $10 = $120 drug store shampoo ~ $30/year so ~$600/year |
| About $200/month for everything- color, styling, cuts, products. For a few years I tried going the drugstore color route, but I was seldom happy with the results. After 7 years of kids/ not taking care of myself like I should, I decided enough is enough and put myself in the hands of professionals on a regular basis. No more root shame, summer frizz, or feeling like I always have to pull my hair back. |

Evary 10 weeks highlights and trim.. About $250 a visit

I have long hair I layer myself w help from hubby on the longest layers.
I don't color or treat it. I don't use heat on it. I use whatever shampoo /conditioner and occasionally deep treat w a masque. I wash a couple times a week.... So I spend maybe $10 a year? I got out of the habit of having it done pro when I realized though I tipped well, they never remembered how I liked it done and it's so long it was always pricy. I don't get splits so I was told I could get away with once or twice a year trim. I then had kids and what time I take away from them I don't want to spend getting a haircut and awkward small talk. Am in a wedding in a couple months where we can pick our style/ do what we want, gift of the bride and all I can think is I don't want a stranger touching my hair....what to do/ how to decline.... |
Oh please. Get over yourself.
