If you are training for a marathon, what does your strength program look like?

Training for distances 13+ miles leaves me with little motivation for strength work, basically 5 days of running and a rest and cross trainnday. I am currently training for the full rock and roll marathon in march. I don't go to a gym regularly so I would like some program at home. The intensity of a P90X is appealing but it's not obvious where and if this fits in. Maybe on a low distance 5 mile or less day? Do the P90 type programs have variations to incorporate a 30 minute workout? Is it too intense when on a marathon training schedule? I am not mitvated to do free weights independently even though i have them at home. i want some type of video i can play and complete. Thanks for any feedback or suggestions.

I stopped my strength training workouts when I trained for a marathon. Like you said, it's hard to find the motivation or energy. The most important thing is to be religious about your long run each week. Do not miss those.

Good luck!
