As a POC I am wondering where my reward and promotion is?! The best I ever got is a law firm interviewer saying “Wow! You’re an immigrant!” and making me feel very uncomfortable and I did not get the job LOL.

I don’t know it was that she was an underachiever so much as she wanted to catch Alec’s attention and felt being a yoga instructor was not enough, definitely not compared to Kim Basinger and Salma Hayek. But whatever, she’s beautiful and kind and fit. Sad that she wasn’t secure enough in that.

She's a yoga teacher. Is that being a huge under-achiever? I feel like society needs to value things other than just making money. That's pretty much how we in the US measure people's worth--by how much money they make. Being a yoga teacher and opening a studio is a worthwhile occupation. Sad that she feels the need to lie.

She is someone who has identity diffusion and has no sense of who she really is. This likely comes from attachment issues. I find it interesting that no one has yet commented on the fact that her mother is an OB/GYN and she has had multiple children. It strikes me as a way to get her mother to take interest in her. It also happens to be something that she has found a way to monetize.

DP. I agree it's a worthy profession, but as someone in these high-achieving circles (spouse and I are PhD/MD couple), there's a lot of pressure on the kids to have at least similar levels of achievement. I don't think it's right, but the pressure is there. I'm sure she's been asked in her younger life whether she was applying to medical or law school.
