| We may be on track for a day 6 transfer with slow growing embryos (only 3 potential ones). Or we may freeze them (if possible) to let my body clear the stims out. Any success stories or experiences in going through the same thing? I know it only takes one, but still...this is nerve wracking! |
| I got pregnant on a day 6 transfer. They did not say that the embryos were slow growing, but rather that they wanted to observe them for another day to see which ones were best. I transferred two and got pregnant with one. I did not freeze them and wait, so I can't speak to that part of your question. Best of luck! |
| I got pregnant with a day 6 embryo (FET). |
|
I became pregnant with a Day 6 embryo (we transferred two; i was pregnant with one) that had assisted hatching done on it. conversely, i had a failed IVF with two day 5 embryos.
good luck in whatever you decide! |
I did too! |
| My day 6 embryo is swaddled in his crib right now! At first I was very disappointed when we got the news that our embryos were not quite at blastocyst stage and they wanted to observe them longer. We transferred one and got pregnant. I'm 40 years old. |
| PP: Did your Day 6 turn into a blast? |
| OP here. We ended up with 2 blasts on day 6 which weren't freezable so we transferred both this morning. One was a slow grower but caught up to a blast today. The other is an early blast. Now we just wait...so much easier said than done! |
| We ended up with 10 day 6 blastocysts and froze them. Transferred 2 - nothing. Transferred 2 again - nothing. Transferred 2 - twins! I don't know if they were slow growing or not. |
| OP here. It was a BFN today. |
OP, I recently had a beautiful 6 day hatching blastocyst. BFN. I met with the doctor on Monday and the way he explained it was that it looked perfect but it is like looking at someone not knowing they have a heart defect.... you can't always tell. I am so sorry for what you are going through. I was absolutely shocked as were the doctors at my practice- it appeared textbook perfect but I guess I was unlucky
You are not alone. Be good to yourself this holiday season! |
| hey i did icsi and with my husband with a really bad sperm count get a fertilasiad eggs 5. 4 of them are abnormal and 1 where a blastocyst on day 6. she is a bit slow but normal. Now i wonder can she still make it She is frozen nou till my transfer 30 oktober. thank you |
| My fresh 6-day blastocyst is now an 8 month old baby. We have 4 other 6/7 day blastocysts frozen waiting for us. |
| I had 6 day blast fet transferred yesterday 5BB so far I don’t have any symptoms. Does anybody get bfp with no symptoms at all? This 2 weeks wait is killing me. 2 Fresh IVF failed. |
One day past transfer is FAR too early for symptoms! I've had 2 BFPs (only one successful pregnancy). I had no symptoms until I was closer to 6 weeks. At that early stage, any "symptoms" you might have would likely be the result of progesterone support (PIO or inserts), not actual pregnancy hormone. Good luck! |
