The Big Government already has all of it in the form of the NYPD. Same concerns? |
No. They have a vested interest in protecting the evidentiary integrity of specific body camera footage. They also have established protocols to protect the privacy and sensitive personal information of citizens. I’m unaware of body camera footage that includes private information of victims being released by the NYPD. |
Have you ever heard of a FOIL request? |
Body cam is already preserved and deleted according to NYPD rules. No one is tasked with watching it unless there are issues or someone FOIL requests it (typically because there’s an issue) Here’s a more detailed breakdown of NYPD body-worn camera (BWC) retention periods, based on official NYPD policy and publicly available guidance: ⸻ 1. Routine Activity Footage • Examples: Traffic stops, street encounters, minor calls for service with no arrest or incident. • Retention Period: 30 days (sometimes up to 90 days depending on the type of interaction). • Purpose: Allows review in case of complaints or officer questions, then deleted. ⸻ 2. Arrests • Examples: Any footage capturing an arrest. • Retention Period: 5 years (sometimes longer if it becomes evidence in a criminal case). • Notes: Footage is preserved as evidence for prosecution, internal reviews, or defense requests. ⸻ 3. Use-of-Force Incidents • Examples: Any situation where an officer uses force, including Taser, baton, physical restraint, or firearm. • Retention Period: 7 years (or longer if related to an ongoing investigation or litigation). • Notes: These recordings are critical for internal investigations and potential civil suits. ⸻ 4. Officer-Involved Shootings or Deaths • Examples: Fatal encounters or serious injuries caused by police actions. • Retention Period: Indefinite, until all investigations and legal proceedings are fully concluded. • Notes: Stored as permanent evidence; often reviewed repeatedly during investigations, trials, and appeals. ⸻ 5. Complaints Against Officers • Examples: Allegations of misconduct captured on BWC. • Retention Period: 7 years, similar to use-of-force recordings. • Notes: Retained for internal affairs investigations and potential civil litigation. ⸻ 6. Evidence in Criminal Cases • Retention Period: Until the case is fully adjudicated, including appeals. • Notes: NYPD must maintain a secure chain of custody; destruction before case completion is not allowed. ⸻ Key Points • All footage is securely stored and encrypted. • Access is strictly controlled and logged. • Public release requires review and redaction for privacy, sensitive investigations, or security reasons. • Deletion/destruction happens automatically after the retention period unless the footage has evidentiary value. ⸻ |
A grandchild of CBS CEO is a cop? |
He also called the syrian president Al sharaa handsome. This guy was a jihadist fighting against the United states. No wonder Putin thinks we are a complete joke. He’s right. Trump’s bisexuality is more obvious in elder years. He compliments Al sharaa and Hegseth a lot! I think he may have complimented Mamdani and Vance the same way. He goes on about men’s looks way too much even staring at Bidens beach photos and his choice of attire and body. |

Who knew capitulation was a pillar of Socialism.

Bet it will look pretty much the same as it does now. My brother is a police officer and people don’t typically leave because of a mayor if they are otherwise happy. Recruiting for most police departments has been down for years now. I don’t think you can blame mandami for that. As the economy gets worse it will go back up as people seek stable jobs and financial security. |

This is my first go around with a Socialist in power. Do they usually throw expensive parties for themselves? I thought the money was for the people?
A Mamdani coronation will be spendy. He’s about to enrich hundreds of NYPD officers that are racist and wicked. “If each police officer makes about $100 an hour for overtime – with some detectives, lieutenants and chiefs making much more – the detail could cost upwards of a half million dollars, a source estimated.” “Police officers will have to be taken off patrol to serve on the party’s security detail and some detectives will likely be taken away from the cases they are investigating, the source explained.” “That many cops on New Year’s Day is a huge hit because you already have a detail of thousands working the ball drop,” the cop said. “And the precincts are all upstaffed on that night because it’s a very busy night.” I’d love to see the accumulated overtime bill for 12/31 and 1/1. Some cops are going to pay off all of their Christmas bills in 12-24 hours. https://nypost.com/2025/12/27/us-news/hundreds-of-cops-will-have-to-protect-mamdanis-big-block-party/ |
Wah Wah Wah. |
No more subway and bike rides for the Socialist mayor. The NYPD is corrupt but I need to shower them with money so I can dance in the streets on New Years. The Police Commissioner billionaire nepo-baby? She’s kinda nice. She can stay. Does he have any other campaign promises he might give a good college try for? |
Lmao, UMAD. |

Mamdani urged to fire staffer who called NYPD officers ‘killers’
"Calling our police officers — the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect New Yorkers — 'killers' is disgusting, dangerous, and completely unacceptable," Blakeman said in a statement. "Mayor-elect Mamdani cannot allow someone who publicly demonizes law enforcement to sit on his transition team. Kazi Fouzia should be fired immediately." Fouzia's appointment was also previously criticized by the Anti-Defamation League, which issued a report last week claiming that Mamdani's transition team is riddled with antisemitic, anti-Zionist or anti-Israel activity from members. The group, which has been monitoring incoming Mamdani's mayoral administration, cited a Facebook post by Fouzia the day after Hamas' Oct. 7, 2023 terror attack on Israel celebrating it as a "justified" act of resistance. https://www.thecentersquare.com/new_york/article_419f9435-d75c-45ea-91f5-1b189de41348.html |
| He’s going to be sworn in at midnight! |

Two officer involved shootings on the same day and Mayor Mamdani waits until the next day to make a statement that didn’t sound like candidate Mamdani.
