Seems like it’s tough for uber successful women. Not all men are cool with her level of success.

Most women her age get to the point they aren't willing to put up with nonsense too. If its not a fulfilling relationship then there's little point to it. She's looking for companionship. That doesn't always equal being head over heels in love

Her unstable upbringing and difficult relationship with each of her parents have undiubtedly affected her ability to trust others and maintain closeness.

Oh absolutely. Especially the issue of internalizing her mom's harsh criticisms imo. Quite traumatic for a girl not to feel accepted or really loved by her own mother. I experienced similar as a kid and it took me a long time to get past it.

That's common belief, no marriage license came to light or divorce papers. Rumor is that they couldn't come to terms on a pre-nup.

Once Theroux got engaged/married wiki updated Jen and Justin as divorced. Up until then listed as separated.

I think they were married but on Bora Bora (think that’s where the “honeymoon” was). They went there with a bunch of friends. Why take your friends on a honeymoon unless to witness a wedding? Jen said she wanted her next wedding on an island so I think it was Bora Bora.

They had a ceremony, but it was not legally recognized in America. That’s actually really common. You have to get a license in the states and they never did that. Wikipedia updating the does not mean that they actually got married.

Is a foreign marriage recognized in the United States?
Yes, a foreign marriage is generally recognized in the United States as long as it was legally performed according to the laws of the foreign country. However, there are exceptions, such as polygamous or underage marriages that would not be legal in any state. To ensure recognition, couples should provide a marriage certificate from the country where the marriage took place, which usually serves as proof. If the marriage certificate is not in English, a certified translation may be required. For immigration or legal matters, an apostille or certified copy of the marriage certificate may be necessary. It is advisable to contact the local vital records office or the U.S. Department of State for specific procedures and requirements

Sorry, I don’t buy her parents divorce and mother criticism ruined her. Her mother told her she had a big nose and thin lips.

Guess what? She does have thin lips! And obviously agreed with her mom about her nose cause she’s had at least two nose jobs. I actually think she’s had a third one which would have been her first one before acting.

What has ruined her for love? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Head over heels for the guy and completely trusted him. Not to mention he horrible way Pitt/Jolie put Jen on the stake for the paparazzi and tabloids. It’s no wonder she doesn’t have a trusting relationship with.

She has terrible taste in men.

Ditto Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Kate Beckinsale…

Um, Ross?

He posted photos from his birthday party, including one with her best friend. Best friend responded with a gushing post. So her friends definitely seem to like him, much more than Justin T.

You are missing the point. If they have wanted to be legal, they could have gotten all the documentation for it to be legal. I had friends who got married later in life and they did not want the legal bindings of marriage, but they wanted a commitment ceremony. They had the ceremony with friends in a destination type wedding, but did not follow through with the paperwork.

I don’t know what to tell you or why you are pushing this. There were no marriage paperwork or divorce paperwork when Jen and Justin separated. Then there were stories that they never had gotten legally married. She has never denied that.

They had a commitment ceremony. Further, they never even really lived together during the seven years.

She seems to really enjoy being with her. I’m happy for her. She’s been pretty smart to date and I don’t think he’s going to grift her. I don’t see this lasting, but I hope she enjoys the time they have.

She seems content to focus on her friends and animals and work, and if this is something extra for a while, I hope she enjoys it.

My point is just because TMZ couldn’t find the paperwork doesn’t mean it wasn’t legal. California allows celebrities to have private records. And if they did get married in BB and not file the paperwork in US it doesn’t mean it wasn’t legal. Foreign marriages are recognized by the US. And the divorce papers could be in BB. Why say you are married when you’re not? Doesn’t make sense.

Who knows. I don’t believe they were legally married but we will likely never know. They had a private ceremony in her LA home and yet no paperwork was filed in CA.They never contacted divorce lawyers. Seems like they never could agree to a prenup. And neither of them wanted kids - it’s a decade later and that is clear. It just seems obvious to me though of course we will probably never know.

Oh i personally i think he's already scheming her for connections, but i don't think she's unaware. It's a trade off she's accepted to have the companionship she's longed for in interviews. And thats not me saying she can't be alone. She's not like Charlize Theron who prefers to be unattached minus some flings. I don't think he's outwardly a jerk or anything and he's a nice to look at. Is he using her? Yes but doesn't mean she can't get happiness from the relationship
