Sounds more like he was trying to give couple advice.

Why would she buy an apartment in NYC when she wouldn’t move there when married to Theroux? And WHEN they break up, what apartment does he get?

She probably wants a more secure place, with doorman and underground parking, and maybe in a different neighborhood. She buys it with a trust and sells it when they break up. She’s got more money than god, makes little difference to her. Then he sells his place and is more comfortable financially. Makes sense to me. Theroux insisted on keeping his place, where she had no privacy. Sounds like new bf is more sensitive to her needs, so they can find a compromise. His client base is more east coast right now, plus he has his son to think of.

She's his gravy trian so ofc he's going to be more sensitive to her needs lol.

I don’t think Theroux was worth more than the new guy. She paid big bucks to renovate his apartment to try to make it work for them. Hope his wife and kid enjoy.

Theroux was worth about 25 million when he met Jen. Nothing compared to Jen’s worth but still it’s a lot.

That is a ridiculous number, and not true. He only stopped living like a relative hobo when he met her. She gave him a ducati, renovated his apartments etc.

He comes from a well to do family and probably made a lot of money on writing Iron Man 2 and Tropical Thunder.

He probably made good money for IM2 but was a newbie when he co-wrote Tropic Thunder. He probably hadn't earned even close to $1m over the course of his whole career, until he starred in The Leftovers. Do I believe he has a trust fund? Yes, enough to support his doing pretty much what he wanted professionally, and enough to buy an apartment with good bones in a great location back when real estate was far cheaper. But nowhere near $25m.

The place isn't huge and there's a spiral staircase connecting the two floors. Major baby hazard.

Have you been to his condo? How do you know the layout?

I used to follow him on Insta. After the split, he posted a lot from his apartment. The reno (combining two apartments into a duplex) was beautiful but not a small-child-friendly design.

Just checked his Insta. I remember he posted a lot in his apartment during the pandemic, but looks like he deleted a lot of them. Anyway, there's a pic of his dog sitting on the spiral staircase. It's a nice, larger one, and I'm sure they can have gates installed but it doesn't look like a great setup for toddlers. He seems like a "I'll leave my apartment over my dead body kind of guy" so it will be interesting to see how they navigate that. Just hard to envision him being mature and selfless enough to be a good, much less great, parent. I give them five years, max. I give Jen A and her guy five years max, too. She'll get sick of being bicoastal again, and will probably tire of him.

Curious why he deleted them.

I had to laugh when I saw he's catching up to Theroux with Insta followers. 1m to Theroux's 1.5m. The Aniston effect. I bet Theroux thought it was all him.

I find his self-help practice to be incredibly basic. Can't believe people pay for this!

He probably dumped her as soon as he met another young woman whose family has social status and whose acting career was actually promising. He also doesn't seem like the type to foot the bill for long.
