My first question was going to be, How do you have time to read DCUM? Then I realized that with 8 kids, you probably need even more of an escape than I do!
So, what is the most fun thing about having 8 kids? What is the greatest UNEXPECTED challenge? |
Yeah for big families! We have five. I am looking forward to reading this thread! |
Why? |
Good questions! I think the most fun thing is the fact that everything we do is a mini party! With 2 kids baking cookies can be simple, sweet, and nice. With 8 it's chaotic, loud, and everything is all over the place. Personally, I love it ![]() TEENAGERS. I have 3 and they are wonderful but so confusing! One minute they are sweet and intelligent and the next they are throwing a fit because omg the computer is ruined forever(when in reality, the Internet chord just came unplugged). |
Why do we have 8 kids? It's simple really. My husband impregnanted me 8 times and the outcome of 8 pregnancies are 8 children. |
I'm assuming at some point you went to a larger van. Did you go to a twelve seater, or right to a fifteen? I've got five in a 7 seater minivan, right now, and we're not sure we're done. My husband's pushing for a 9 seat SUV, but I can't help thinking something larger would be more useful |
I think the poster meant why did you chose to have 8 children. |
We've got a 12 seater and honestly we don't use it all that much. We prefer to take 2 cars(or 3 if our oldest is driving) because its just easier on all of us. The 12 passenger van can be a real hassle to be honest. I would side with your husband on this and get the SUV of you think it will fit your family. |
Well she should have said so ![]() |
She sounds simple minded, ladies. Maybe that's why she has eight kids. To each their own. |
Ready for what? To start using birth control like rational people? |
Wow -- what a jerk you are. |
Did you not know about modern birth control? You must feel like a brood mare. My OB said that it takesa woman's body two years to recover from pregnan y and childbirth. How far apart in years are they because you must be exhausted. |
This thread is more revealing about the PPs than the OP. So, people with large families are irrational? Simple minded? Are people with small families just judgemental and rude?
I'm not the OP, but was the child in a large family. It was a great experience and to this day, I feel like I know more about sharing, teamwork, and looking for the common good than my peers. I didn't have a lot of kids because that was just my choice, but why would I judge someone who chose differently? OP, my question is: do you have some kind of system to have one-on-one time with each child? My parents found that the biggest challenge. |
