Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers
| I saw some dinners that my kids would not touch in the other post on "what people are cooking for dinner". It made me curious what your kids ate. We had spaghetti and meatballs for my kids age 5 and 7. |
| Ham and cheese omlette and toast (breakfast for dinner day!) |
| For dinner DD got spinach gnocchi from WH (I think she would eat only those for a week could she choose), corn (she did not each much even though it was fresh from the Sundays FM), and a little veal. Then some peach (and a cookie). The Gnocchi is just the only way she will eat potatoes. DD is 15 mo. |

Rice noodles with eggs, veggies and chicken (frozen pre-cooked).
Their lunch for tomorrow is little bit of canned black beans with rice, veggies and chicken nuggets and alway some kinds of fruits. I feel they are not eating too well since about 1/2 of the stuff is NOT home-made, but it is what I can do for now. I wish I can make more fresh soup and fish for them. |

5 yo son--same as us--linguini with tomato sauce and garbonzo beans plus salad 10 mo daughter -- not feeling well, but ate a little sweet potato, peas, and tiny pieces of chopped sirloin (from yesterday) |

Meatless chicken mcnuggets, applesauce and broccoli. A banana for desert.
He loves meatless chicken mcnuggets! He doesn't like the real thing. |
| I posted on that thread. We had ham, mashed potatoes and spinach. Both scarfed down the ham as if they hadn't eaten in days. Neither one touched the mashed potatoes. DS ate most of the spinach, but DD wouldn't touch it. In general, DS will at least try most things. DD eats almost nothing. She'll eat really salty stuff like ham, mac n cheese, chinese food, and sweet stuff like yogurt and bananas. Other than that, and cheese/milk, I'm not sure how she survives (and she's off the charts for height--or WAS at her 18 month appt. a few months ago!). |
| Left over whole wheat pancakes with honey on top. He's sick, and we just moved so I'm not organized this week. |

Daughter ate mac and cheese, carrots and peas.
son (who eats basically nothing) had cream cheese on bread, 3 yogurts and a bowl of cheerios. I figure as long as he is eating, I'm kind of ok with it being random stuff like this. |

DD-4, DS-7 :
We usually all eat together with our au pair who helps me prepare the meals. Last night we had sausages, organic mac and cheese and tomato & cucmber salad (from our own garden). Tonight we are having grilled flank steak, cooked spinach, and rice (a favorite of everyone's). Tomorrow night we will have grilled boneless, skinless chicken, salad with tomatoes and cucmbers and cheese, and rice. On Sunday, I go to the grocery store and buy flank steak (1 or 2) and 2 big packages of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, put them in plastic baggies with marinade (steak with ginger seasame, chicken with italian dressing), and use them throughout the week. Just pull out a few peices and throw them on the grill, turn a few times and you have a great and healthy dinner, add a salad or veggie and a starch if you like. I also make a big pot of meat sauce and we can have it on whole wheat pasta for dinner one night in the week and the children have it for lunch on fridays when they get home at noon. On nights that the children eat without us they usually have whole wheat ravioli with marinara, and a side of broccolli; or Amy's organic cheese pizza, side of green beans or peas; quesadillas made on the Geroge Foreman grill with a side of veggies. etc... |
| DS 28mos ate Chili from Sunday football day, an avocado, and a peach. |
| Last night was a pretty good eating night for my kids (3 and 15 months). They had pork tenderloin, pasta, and some vegetables. Some nights all my 15 month wants to eat is fruit and all my 3 year old wants to eat is a piece of bread! |

Burgers from Trader Joes and apple slices.
Tonight Korean bbq beef and rice. |

DD-3 DS 7
We had ham (daughter ate, son ate but he had to be strongly encouraged to, said it was too sweet), buttered noodles (both ate just fine) and broccoli (kids ate one piece each), along with canned fruit salad. (no one liked it.) Also a carrot sticks and ranch dressing for an appetizer. My husband ate it all and said "Thank you" Tonight is crock pot beef stew with onions and mushrooms and rice. I might have to rinse off the meet so it doesn't taste like onions. The grownups will eat a spinach salad. I don't know what veg the kids will eat. Probably carrot sticks again. |
