a fool and his money are soon parted |
This is crazy, and now makes this bizarre ‘partnership’ sense. Seems Jim’s pockets are never ending. VRSC is picking up clout with the move but not really adding anything else except one more field. |
It may not all work out but you can't say it isn't a positive development for VRSC. They now have a pro team, 5,000 seat field, and deeper relationships with DC United. Last year they added GA. This year MLNS2. Not unreasonable to think MLSN1 isn't far away. It's at least going in a growth direction compared to the other clubs in Loudoun who are selling their fields, leaving ECNL and hemorrhaging players. Don't know about you but I'm betting on the one with endless money to spend. |
Loudoun took its eye off the ball, focusing on parent (board)-led, short-term battles. VRSC focused on larger scale business opportunities and won the war. |
I said girls, not boys. CC, MJ, and JU. Which club has a better girls staff in DMV? There is none. Boys staff will come with this news. |
VRSC now has a USPL team and a USL Championship League team. Exactiy which other DMV club can claim something even remotely similar? |
Typical “you didn’t build that” DMV attitude. This club has made more progress in the last 24 months than any other club in the area has made in the last 10 years. Don’t agree? Make the case for another club. |
CC was in NOVA when there were only 2 ECNL programs and couldn’t win anything until BP showed up. MJ is a good second team coach. Bethesda has a better staff. So does VDA. |
Buying your way into leagues and rooftop bars might be progress, but it does not produce players. VRSC isn’t even the best girls or boys program in Loudoun. Let that sink in. |
SC, KL, and ML are good coaches, but they are not even remotely close to CC, MJ, and JU. Look at their resumes. |
*MN |
Who is MN? Vda? Give me a break. |
Look at their respective trajectories. TSJFC is garbage. Loudoun will always be the biggest club, but it’s a factory, not elite. NVA clearly has stronger teams today, but what makes you think they will be the top boys or girls program in 5 years? VRSC is building something that is truly unique in the DMV. It won’t happen overnight, but the trajectories are clear. |
There is zero chance that the club of which Loudoun United is now a part and with which DC United is now associated will not be MLSN in very short order. VRSC is now a feeder to DC United Academy. |
Every club in this area is a feeder to DCU Academy. |
