Misdelivered ham

This calls for candle salad. (If you don't know, Google it. It's ... unbelievable.)

Some believe politicians are pigs, others see pigs as man's best friend.

I'm having the opposite issue. Our address is 6679 and half our packages go to 6779. I really blame our developer for numbers this homes in this nonsensical way (6 numbers between homes, our next door neighbor is 6673).

Love this thread! Takes me back to working a seasonal, one week job at a Honeybaked Ham in suburban Pittsburgh in the mid-1990s. It was the early days of Honeybaked and there were lines around the strip mall to get hands on that ham.

We had this issue but with our neighbors mail. Really important tax documents and documents from DMV and the county kept being delivered to our house. They all had our neighbors name but with our house address. The first 6 or so times, I brought the mail to the neighbors and told them that they needed to correct the address with the senders. After several years of this, with no address correction, I just started writing on the envelope, "Return to sender. Addressee does not live at this address." I did my best, but in the end, only my neighbors should be correcting their address with these organizations, not me. After a year or so, I finally stopped getting my neighbors mail.

This is more than a little triggering.

The sender is not at fault.

The recipient is at fault for not thanking you and correcting his address.

However, none of this warrants THEFT.

I would contact the neighbor so he picks up his ham. It's the only way he'll realize it's not actually fun and games for you.

It would not be a theft, it might be Conversion, which is a civil matter, not a criminal matter. Keep the Ham.

Are we all just dirty minded harlots now, or did people laugh at this back in the day?
