Unpopular Entertainment Opinions

This is not an unpopular opinion. Everyone has always recognized that Andie McDowell cannot act. She was a print model that somehow got a few acting jobs. I assume there's some back story there.

This explains a lot. She definitely looks like we would have gotten her start in some kind of “woman laughing while eating salad alone” stock photo

But were their HIGH SCHOOL personas reminiscent of those people you hated in high school? Or were their 20-something characters more like the kids you hated in high school? (Bc they were v different! And I always found it completely unbelievable that those three in high school would have transformed into those three in their 20s without completely changing friend groups!)

Monica and Ross were brother and sister, so they wouldn't have changed friend groups from high school. Ross and Chandler were roommates. Remember the Miami Vice clothes they wore in the Thanksgiving flashback scene? And Ross was in love with Rachel since high school. Why would they change friend groups?

Well that’s the point. They didn’t change friend groups but they did completely change personalities from high school to adulthood. In flashback scenes Monica and Rachel were geeky losers and chandler thought he was punk/cool and Ross was hopelessly awkward.
They all just grew out of it entirely. Which does happen. But it doesn’t usually happen when you’re still surrounded by the same people who knew you in all your awkwardness.

Living Single was a ripoff of Facts of Life (the later seasons).

4 female friends with distinct personalities.

Queen Latifah was Jo.

If the costumes weren't so great, no one would watch.

(I have no idea why people like Gilmore Girls -- being frenetic isn't the same as having a personality)

If this helps you feel better about Friends then so be it.

Disagree. I actually enjoy both shows. And I laugh at both.

Stripes isn’t funny.

Scrooged was a better Bill Murray movie.

What about Bob? was one of Murray’s best films.

Lost in Translation was long, boring and stupid.

I’m a DP.

This has nothing to do with Friends...it’s all about Tootie...one of the most underrated actresses of all time.

You don't need to disagree. The point is these are unpopular opinions.

Then go post this to every rebuttal. Thanks.

Matt Damon might be a nice guy, but he’s not a great actor.
