Well that’s the point. They didn’t change friend groups but they did completely change personalities from high school to adulthood. In flashback scenes Monica and Rachel were geeky losers and chandler thought he was punk/cool and Ross was hopelessly awkward. They all just grew out of it entirely. Which does happen. But it doesn’t usually happen when you’re still surrounded by the same people who knew you in all your awkwardness. |
